To ease the fearing hearts of those across the pond, to prove wrong of those doubting our traveling abilities, and to show off our newly earned college educated writing skills we have decided to create this blog for your enjoyment. Hopefully hearing of our travels in Hungary, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Netherlands, England, and Ireland will make you green with envy and leaving us with no green left in our pockets!

Considering we planned this trip only within the last week, and still are going country to country with only our flight home booked, the expected cities and countries that we plan to visit are as follows:

Varoslod, Hungary
Vienna, Austria
Venice, Italy
Rome, Italy
Barcelona, Spain
Paris, France
Amsterdam, Netherlands
London, England
Dublin, Ireland

*destinations are subject to change given the fact that we are enjoying the experience and consequences of last minute booking

Ok...so we are going to need everybody to just take a deep breath, relax, we got to Ireland obviously so before you freak out...its ALL ALRIGHT! You know how we told you we went to bed and set our alarm clocks for 3am? Well we forgot to tell you that BEFORE we set our alarm clocks, we kinda not only danced the night away, but we sorta DRANK the night away. aaaannnd you know how we told you we ran throguh the train station? True, but Emily kinda pulled Kendall through the train station. Im sure you can draw your own conclusion. But thats besides the point. From here on out we are talking in the third person, setting the setting, and letting you know play by play what occured on this LOVELY morning. 5:00am Kendall ... read more

The chunnel to London was not enjoyable for Emily considering she was EXTREMELY hungover from the night before...I guess we havent matured as much as we thought we did. The morning didnt get any better when we were going through customs, did not realize that we were supposed to fill out a sheet to enter the UK, and the oh-so-polite customs person obnoxiously states "you must be Americans, did you not read the 6 signs before you got to the front that say--AMERICANS fill out this sheet before entering". Needless to say, Emily became a little sassy, gave him major attitude and we filled out the sheet, finally allowed to board the train. The train ride was fast and beautiful. Seeing the countryside in France made us more excited to get to London. Once we got ... read more

Our last three days in Paris were both stressful and extremely enjoyable. We decided to take a 3hr bike tour around Paris, seeing all of the important sights, monuments, and some of the hidden things that only our tour guide knew of. The ride started out at Notre Dame and we biked all around Paris for the next 3.5hrs, leaving our behinds incredibly sore. Some of our favorite parts on the tour were seeing the Bridge that was in Sex and the City, the Tower in Borne Identity, and the Fountain that Anne Hathoway threw her phone into in The Devil Wears Prada. On the tour we met a brother and sister from Chicago that were traveling together, they were really nice and we ended up going out with them that evening! The next day, thinking ... read more

We LOVE Paris! With 11days left on our trip, we've finally realized that it would be a good idea to try to stay within a reasonable budget. Not to say that we havent been careful with our spending through out this trip, but we are realizing that maybe buying shots for our friends isnt sucha good idea. Sorry Mom and Dad, youve raised some very generous daughters and we're just tryin to give America a good rep...and we are pretty confident that we have succeeded. We have been staying at one of the coolest Hostels that we have stayed at yet on our trip. The rooms are nice and clean (WAY different than Amsterdam), theres TONS of nice young travelers (Lots of Austrailians), and a really neat bar on the first floor of the building. We ... read more

Well Amsterdam was interesting to say the lease. Glad we went but not our cup of tea...we ran into Emily's friend Matt from UofA and made him be our escort for the entire time that we were there. There were lots of guys and pretty much no girls in Amsterdam which made it kinda awkwards so we were really thankful that Matt was there to take us through town, see the notorious red light district, go the the Heiniken Factory, the I AMsterdam museum, and the Anne Frank House. Our first day in Amsterdam was a difficult one...we checked into our hostel and when we went into our room we were horrified...six matresses on the floor, cigaretteburns on the comforters, and hair all over the place. Not to mention the creepy people sitting in the lobby ... read more

We apologize for our delay in updating you on our adventures! We have been so busy with touring, traveling and having fun that there hasnt been much time to blog We had an amazing 5 days in Barcelona with Emily's best friend Katie Meredith and her three friends Ali, Dani and Keeley, all four girls were overwhelmingly generous and they showed us a wonderful time around Barcelona. Between going to Gaudi Park, walking up and down Las Romblas Street, going to the beach, hitting the "hot" clubs, and visiting El Quatro Gats (the same bar that Picasso would hang out at), we were extremely busy! Kendall had friends from LMU in Barcelona as well so it was fun to get to meet up with them too! last night in Barcelona we pulled an all nighter and ... read more

Soo after waking up late for out train ride to Rome from Venice, we packed and ran to the train station just like in Home Alone to make our train ride in time. Two hours into the train ride, the conductor passes through our cabin asking four our Eurorail Passes and Ticket. As we all could have predicted...Kendall had a problem. She searches and searches and searches her things, and realizes that she LEFT HER EURORAIL PASS IN VENICE! What an intelligent move. All of a sudden Kendall had all of these people trying to help her brainstorm solutions to the problem, but none of them worked. After reading in the user guide book that "A replacement pass will not be issued if lost or stolen." She was screwed. We decided that she was going to ... read more

As promised, we are updating you on our travels although this is a little late. Our last night in Venice was an eventful one to say the least. After going to the only bar that was sans honeymooners we managed to find a group of New Yorkers who later made fun of us for not smoking cigarettes because "All Californians are concerned with their health"--i dont think its just people from california that are concerned with their health, but it was obvious that they werent. Ironically, as they were talking about our "concern" for our health, we were both three sheets to the wind throwing our health out the window. With an abrupt exit, we left the bar in search of food, but everything was closing down. We somehow managed to get on the correct water ... read more

On our last night in Vienna, Austria we ran into our English friends and discovered that a lot more things occured the previous night than we were aware of. As we started to talk about our travels and asking them the standard "getting to know you questions", the continuous answers of "yea we know, you told us last night" and "we told you last night" gave us the hint that we drank a little bit more than we realized. We thought it couldnt get any more embarrassing, but yes it did. Emily was behind the counter serving interesting drinks and chopping lemons and oranges, showing off the chopping skills she just recently learned, in addition to frolicing about the Hotel bar. Kendall is a good friend for putting up with her shenanigans but who are we ... read more

After a short 2.5hr drive in the lovely Renalt Station Wagon driven by grandma while we both went in and out of sleep, missing parts of the beautiful view of the country, we finally arrived in Vienna. After checking in and getting settled, we took the bus into the City Center, finally bought our Eurorail passes, saw St. Stephens Cathedral which was absolutely beautiful and got Kendall a new Austrian phone number. When finished with our introduction to the city we left the friendly TMobile man as he warned us not to walk in the park on our way to the bus stop in order to aviod the scary drug dealers. As we were walking ALL THE WAY AROUND the park, we heard some familiar words that Kendall is used to hearing in the states, the ... read more
