We were the only ones not on our honeymoon...but emily gave kk a romantic kiss. sweet....just kidding, she wishes On our last night in Vienna, Austria we ran into our English friends and discovered that a lot more things occured the previous night than we were aware of. As we started to talk about our travels and asking them the standard "getting to know you questions", the continuous answers of "yea we know, you told us last night" and "we told you last night" gave us the hint that we drank a little bit more than we realized. We thought it couldnt get any more embarrassing, but yes it did. Emily was behind the counter serving interesting drinks and chopping lemons and oranges, showing off the chopping skills she just recently learned, in addition to frolicing about the Hotel bar. Kendall is a good friend for putting up with her shenanigans but who are we kidding...she wasnt much better. We then somehow got swayed into taking jagerbombs and trying some drink that literally lit your throat on fire, ordered a turkey club sandwich with french fries and one of the english men was quick to warn "a minute on the lips, is an inch on the hips"....i wonder what he was trying to tell us. After some drinks and a
turkey club we went to bed around 3am...ready for our wakeup call at 4:30am. Lovely.
The wakeup call at 4:30am, was right on the dot...we answered the phone, then went right back to sleep. We both woke up at 5:15, realizing that we had to be in the taxi at 5:30am. Needless to say we were in a rush. After our rigorous trek to Venice, we finally arrived at the Hotel Centrale with a desolate room, a cramped bathroom, and a room key that weighs atleast 5 pounds. Not to mention that there is not a single plug in the room...awesome.
After walking around Saint Marcos Square, running away from pigeons, and a lovely dinner we decided to buy our second bottle of wine. Interesting how the bottle at dinner was 22euro and this one was only 7euro. We sat on the peir, drinking our wine and chatting with our new Australian friend, Silia. Only fifteen minutes later, a boat blasting Aretha Franklin-I will Survive, with 6 middle-aged Italians offered us a cruise through the channel. How could we pass up that offer as the sun was just about to set. After a short ride, we left Sil

Kendall getting her fav watermelon and emily getting a Hieniken...standard. "its five o'clock somewhere" and the crew on the boat to adventure on our own.
Both of us had to go to the restroom REALLLLLY bad, and there were absolutely no bathrooms in sight. As we come across the nicest hotel in Venice, we decide to go inside and search for a bathroom. Walking through the lobby and up to the first floor, we find a closet with all of the janitors cleaning supplies and a single toilette. JACK POT!!! We were giggling for about 30min we thought we were sooo sneaky. As we left proud of ourselves, we made a few too many purchases from the street vedors where we bought friendship bracelets and Emily dropped our almost finished bottle of wine. We just had to get another one.
After purchasing our third bottle of wine, we became friends with the local police because we saw them watching us at dinner earlier. We thought it would be a good idea to offer them a glass, regretfully having to reject our offer they were disappointed. When we thought our exciting night was finally coming to an end, we hop on the WRONG bus to go home. We were on the bus until
6am
Went to bed at 4:30am every single passenger was gone and the bus driver then said "Ill be back in ten minutes" Leaving both of us on the bus ALONE, where he was NOWHERE to be found. Then finally, he started up the bus again and in an hour bus ride and 15min taxi, we made it home.
Today we went back to Saint Marcos Square, explored the shops, bought some gifts, and went for a gondola ride. The gondola driver fell in love with Emily and asked for her hand in marriage (along with an American Visa). Tonight we are planning to go to the Rialto where hopefully we wont be surrounded by lovebirds and honeymooners. Disclaimer: only go to Venice if you are going with a significant other...theres not much of a night life here, yet somehow we manage to get a hangover the next morning.
Before we leave for Rome tomorrow, we will update you on our adventures. Seeing that this entry has only cost us 3Euro instead of the 30euro we paid at the hotel in Vienna...we are pretty excited to get back on our blog tomorrow, with hopefully some exciting stories from tonight!
Now off to
6am
went to bed at 4:30am the train station to book our reservation to Rome! We love you and miss you all! Keep commenting!! 😊
