Fountain at Schonbrunn
the fountain of youth does wonders...(this is kendall talking, ei doesnt want any credit for this comment) After a short 2.5hr drive in the lovely Renalt Station Wagon driven by grandma while we both went in and out of sleep, missing parts of the beautiful view of the country, we finally arrived in Vienna. After checking in and getting settled, we took the bus into the City Center, finally bought our Eurorail passes, saw St. Stephens Cathedral which was absolutely beautiful and got Kendall a new Austrian phone number. When finished with our introduction to the city we left the friendly TMobile man as he warned us not to walk in the park on our way to the bus stop in order to aviod the scary drug dealers. As we were walking ALL THE WAY AROUND the park, we heard some familiar words that Kendall is used to hearing in the states, the gentlemen call(I guess they're really not gentlemen) "AAAAOOOOOOHHHHHH Badunkaduuunk". For those who dont know what "badunkadunk" is, they're referring to her butt.
After a lovely dinner in the hotel, in which we all orderd Wiener Schnitzel and shared a bottle of wine, Kendall commented "I've never had deer before" with Emily quickly saying in a know-it-all tone, "Kendall, its duck" Needless to say, we
Bar in Hotel
One bottle of wine, a shot of vodka with the russian bar tender, 2 vodka sodas, and a jager bomb....kill us. Wishing MJ and Cynth-IA were here...Paris next year? both found out today that Veal is actually baby cow. "Blonde and Blonder take Europe" Copywrite Jim and Mary Jo. After dinner we headed back to the room to get a nice night of rest, but as we were sitting in bed we realized we just were not that tired, and remembered seeing a cute bartender at the bar down stairs. A bottle of wine later and a 20min phone convo with MJ, we decided to get a little more serious with our drinks...buying a shot for ourselves and the bartender. Ofcourse we didnt end up paying for it because it was his choice of drink, and naturally being from Russia he chose vodka with no chaser. Kendall was in pain, Emily bragged about the UofA lifestyle and how simple it was for her to do it. Apparently LMU isnt quite the party school after all...surprised? Emily doesnt quite remember the night past this, but following the shot of vodka our livers enjoyed some more alcohol by sharing Vodka Tonics with the bartender and Jager Bombs with two English racecar drivers. Waking up this morning was not easy, I wonder why.
Today, Emily's day started out wonderfully. The wake-up
Bear
Missin our Papa bears soo much...just a lil shout out to Jimbo and JDI call doesnt wake her up when the phone is on her side of the bed, Kendall shouts "Emily you have to answer the phone for it to stop ringing" her reply was a simple "I knowww" as she immediately does absolutely NOTHING. Followed by a "Emily you have to get dressed, we have to be ready in 10min" as she immediately does absolutely NOTHING...breakfast and coffee at 8am was a little early for us. As she is rushing to get dressed and bring her things, she somehow manages to break her blackberry charger. genious. Followed by later leaving her wallet in the hotel room, resorting to depending on the "Bank of Kendall" which is a very scary thing to do. Considering the Bank of Kendall doesnt have the best credit, thankfully Bank of Jim is a great father bank.
We then went to the Palace, bringing us back to the days when we ourselves dreamed about being princesses and living in a castle like Marie Antouniette. Emily being the dork she is, listened to the guided tour recording the ENTIRE time, sharing information about how the queen was stabbed to death by Italians, how her hair went down to
flower fest
"kendall, there's flowers in america" -ei her ankles, and how she only allowed one out of her 11 daughters to marry for love. She did all of this just shortly after discussing her ADD and how she cant focus ever, but somehow managed to be the only one to listen to the entire recording. Interesting. After discovering our destination wedding location, we took the train to the city center to walk around, find Emily a Blackberry charger and eat some delicious Pizza.
After some R&R, we had our last meal with grandma in Europe, and tomorrow at 5:30am we go to the train station to go on our 8hr trek to Venice, Italy. Pray we get on the right train when we swich 4hrs into the journey, cuz we all know that it could be a potential disaster...
Now to the bar to pay for all of the drinks we somehow forgot to pay for last night! Ooops
Thanks for reading!!
