Ahhh the benefits of a hop-on-hop-off bus pass, these tourist buses are brilliant and the even better thing about the ones here in Paris are that they are 2day passes!! Plus they have 4 different lines and over 50 stops! Its madness I tell ya! But oh so good.. The first day of this pass I used it to visit Notre Dame, this place seriously reminded me of a certain uni in Freo.. haha wonder why... Except its just a catherdral and not a university but still a seriously cool place... Spent a couple of hours wandering around here and also going to the crypts under Notre Dame as well as getting in my first lot of French shopping!! Oh how I wish I could have another suitcase!! HAD my first baguette in Paris too.. Not ... read more

Well here's hoping that first impressions are deceiving and that things can only get better cos here I am in Paris and all I can say.. I WANNA GO BACK TO LONDON!! Have struggled with my suitcase all day (Shaddup Cal) lugging it on the tube on London, onto the EuroStar and then through Paris Nord before coming across a rather rude taxi driver who wasnt exactly very helpful.. Is quite late now so wont be able to do much exploring till tomorrow, am wondering how Im going to eat tonight though.. Everythings in French!! :(... read more

Well Emma has now come and joined Team London so its been go go go as we explore the sights of London... once again! Firstly, before she arrived, Brad, Cal and myself set off at the crack of dawn (earlier for me cos I screwed up and set my alarm too early! oops!) to go to Oxford for the day to watch the Oxford boat races, the boys had been invited by their friend Christian and I tagged along hoping to meet some nice Oxford boys hehe... The boat races themselves were definately interesting, the whole purpose was to bump the boat in front of you... and then that was it! The races had been going on for a week and we were watching the last day, the point being to work your way up from ... read more

After having visited Oxford so many times before and loving it, I was very eager to see Cambridge and decided to be lazy and jump on a tour that would take me to Cambridge and back to my beloved Oxford instead of catching the train to Cambridge myself.. Would have gotten to see more of it had I caught the train but oh well, I scored free dinner for a lovely couple from Brisbane who took me under their wing for the day so thank you! Cambridge- another gorgeous university town, but when it comes down to it, Oxford definately wins in my opinion, and in the opinion of the other 4AUssies on the tour.. thats right! The whole tour was AUstralia and the other couple on there were a young couple from Perth! Talk about ... read more

Well I've been told that if there was one thing that I couldnt miss while in England it was visiting Windsor Castle so today I jumped on a tour that took me here and to Stonehenge, which is something else I really wanted to see.. The tour also took us to Bath which is a place I also wanted to day trip too, which I'd done this instead so i could have spent more time here but oh well... Windsor Castle, place I had to visit and I must admit I was rather disappointed, this is supposed to be THE castle in England to visit so I was expecting alot more than I actually got.. Was still impressive but either Im just at the real ABC stage OR Ive seen better castles.. Not sure which.. Now ... read more

Its amazing how a change of scenary and location can lift your mood, being back here in London has provided a great sense of comfort, and although an hour later I realised why I didnt like it in the first place (WAYY to many people) its still very comforting being back in a place I've already gone and dont have to worry about finding my way around and all that shit again.. Even despite being back in my shoebox room! Exact same room I was in first time in London, although it seems much brighter now for some reason hehe.. It also provides me with company which Im loving, caught up with Moosh again today after a long sleep in, got my little suitcase of goodies back and got the pleasure of breaking into my suitcase ... read more

Well my second last stop before heading to mainland Europe is here in Cardiff.. Unfortunately I got crap weather the whole time I was here so it was definately abit of a let down, cant say I enjoyed Cardiff that much but such is life.. My first night however I found out that Il Divo was playing across the road from my hotel in the CIA (Cardiff International Arena), unfortunately I couldnt hear anything so therefore did not get a free concert :( Cardiff castle, well lets just say ABC... ... read more

Well Im now back in Dublin for a few days with 2 very flat (sorry guys, u know u r :P) and sick boys (if I get sick.. oooo!!!) but I am so glad that they were here because if they werent... Well.. I'd be in big big trouble... Because smart Michelle has had her wallet stolen, yup right out of her bag on a very busy tram.. Smart smart Michelle! Not! Warning for all people travelling.. BANKS ARE USELESS!! When you're trying to deal with banks back home and you have no money they are useless! So thank god for my dear knights in shining armour, Brad and Cal, who have lent me money, no questions asked until Emma arrives in London bearing my bank cards... The experience has put abit of a dampener on ... read more
