Well Emma has now come and joined Team London so its been go go go as we explore the sights of London... once again!
Firstly, before she arrived, Brad, Cal and myself set off at the crack of dawn (earlier for me cos I screwed up and set my alarm too early! oops!) to go to Oxford for the day to watch the Oxford boat races, the boys had been invited by their friend Christian and I tagged along hoping to meet some nice Oxford boys hehe... The boat races themselves were definately interesting, the whole purpose was to bump the boat in front of you... and then that was it! The races had been going on for a week and we were watching the last day, the point being to work your way up from last year.. I think we were more entertained with the cricket across the river, the fighter jets in the air and the commentary coming from Jesus college (yes that was the actual name of the college) next door...
Sunday was a fairly quiet day as we just chilled and waited for Emma to land.. The girl bought the weather with her as its
been quite nice here in london.. Now its pissing down and cold.. Cheers Em! hehe
Monday morning I was woken up at an ungodly time of morning (5am) thanks for Cal's alarm clock who was off to Birmingham that morning (Cal, not his alarm clock, altho I guess that went too), who on his way out knocked the do not disturb sign off the door so then I was once again awoken at 7am by the maid, after not getting to sleep until like 2am I was definatley not impressed! Poor Brad and Emma had to wait around for me before finally deciding to wake me up.. oops! Oh well, off we went to explore Buckingham Palace, St James's Palace, Leichester Square and the Imperial War Museum, had a quietish night as Emma was still pretty tired and jet lagged, dont blame ya babe!
On Tuesday the three of us went off on a night Jack the Ripper walk through WhiteChapel and Aldgate East.. Not the type of area you'd wanna be walking around at night now, so one can only imagine what it was like 200 odd years ago when the killings took place.. Thats one thing
Cal and his Pimms
Weirdest drink, first of all it was hot and had pieces of apple and cucumber in it.. weird!! But thanks Chris if you're reading this! that amazes me being here in the UK.. The buildings and the history is so much older than Australia, the history dates back thousands of years and what happened two hundred years ago is relatively new whereas in Australia, well that is the beginning of Australia..
I got to see two more West End shows while being back in london, "Wicked" with Emma which was Wiked! hehe and Les Miserables on my last day here in London after dropping the boys off at the bus station.. So I said goodbye to them, said goodbye to Emma the night before and goodbye to Moosh... lots of Goodbyes going on atm, was rather sad leaving the boys cos it was like awwww... on my own again, even though I will see them in like 3weeks... But thats ok, off to Paris tomorrow and the rest of Europe awaits!
