A wonderful end to a wonderful weekend! It started with the Boat Tour, then a nice jazz JAM at the Modern Art Museum on Sat after watching The City of Gods (it's a good movie, but, not the type I like) with Julisa and Allegra. Today, I finally went to the beach with my family, and we ate acaraje and I ate too much shrimp to induce my allergic reaction to crustaceans. After spending another night in Sau Luis we made our way back to the bus station for an over night bus and moved further north. OUrlast day in Sau Luis was nice if rather a little boring, I think we were the only Gringo´s in the city but that wasn´t a problem. The weather was so hot and humid that we could barely walk for longer than an hour before having to head back for the room in our Pousada. The pousada itself wasn´t in the best nick!! I changed my mind. I have decided that the itsy-bitsy speedo-like bathing suit on Brazilian men is actually pretty hot. Only in Rio de Janeiro do they - and can they - wear it oh, so well. Saturday Well, Friday night I was visited by the ghost of Montezuma. I can only think of one reason, the salad that I ate in Ouro Preto. All Saints Bay (Bahia de todos os Santos) South America » Brazil » Bahia » Salvador

The majority of the pictures will be taken during the boat tour of All Saints Bay going to Itaparica Island and Frades Island. We rented a boat to take 55 students around the bay with music and drinks. (Along the way, I saw a school of fish jumping out of the water, in and out and in and out, a few times. We arrived yesterday at the bus station not really knowing where we were going to go, all we knew is that we need to get eventually to Belem at the Amazon so got the bus to Sao Luis. I am starting to get used to the bus times here, when they say it will take 24 hours it will actually take an extra three as this has happened on nearly all our buses!! I had to register at the Federal Police for temporary residence (since I'm staying more than 3 weeks here). Afterward, I went to Catussaba beach. I look chubbier because I have my suit under my clothes.. and I've been eating.. I dont know.. haha I also went to a birthday party of my mom's friend, who was turning 80. A lot of cake! haha. I took this photo as we left the rental agency after I noticed that the gage showed only half a tank of gasoline. The contract indicated that it was full.

Friday We had planned pretty much the same today as we did on Thursday. But as you would have read, we did nothing on Thursday. So, when we woke today we decided to venture out of town. Again our bus took longer than sheduled although this bus only took 14 hours instead of 13 which was not too bad at all, stuck the headphones in and tried to get some sleep.
