i just found Sarah Carter today. She's an American english teacher in Tajikistan (her dad calls it Middle Earth). She is sooo funny and her interactions with the locals will tell you things that those who are just passing by are not likely to discover Reply to this

A new and very interesting and entertaining blogger currently traveling in Spain and Portugal. She gives the adventures of a solo traveler from a young woman's perspective.

I think one of the qualities of a good travel blog is that makes you wish you were there...this one does just that!

Agree, Jens is one of my favourite bloggers on this site, and his recent effort is superb. I lived in Taipei for four months back in 2006 and he captures the city perfectly. Reply to this

One of the reasons Dave and I enjoy long term travel is that the world slows down and you have time to think. Time to really ponder any thought that comes into your head.

I think I need to withdraw my recommendation on this blogger as it was originally about her solo travels across Spain but has become a blog entirely about her ministry converting Catholics to her religion, whatever it is.
