TravelBlog's 10th Birthday!

TravelBlog's first blog post was on the 5th April 2002 - so we consider today 5th April 2012 TB's 10th!

If it's possible for a website to have a birthday - it's today for TravelBlog - 10 years!

It's the date that I posted my first blog on a very basic version of what you see today. Last working day.

Lined up for this week we have celebrations around the world, gatherings of bloggers in a few hotspots, (Celebrating TravelBlog's 10th anniversary - Asia,Celebrating TravelBlog's 10th anniversary - North America). We'll be inducting some amazing bloggers to our Hall of Fame - 2012 TravelBlog Hall of Fame , and I've just posted the story of how TravelBlog came to be TravelBlog, a story 10 years in the making...

A little reminder of how far we've come!

Thanks to every one that has helped make Travel Blog what it is today - the world's friendliest travel site!

Happy Birthday, TravelBlog. My daughter has just commented that she is only one year older than TravelBlog, so they are both almost teenagers. 😊

Thanks TravelBlog, for the Hall of Fame award, that I am receiving on TravelBlogs 10th birthday. I received a bunch of awards, and I have given out a bunch of awards over the last few years, but this is the first time, I have actually been nominated by other members to receive an award. Thanks, to those who nominated me. It is always a compliment, to be chosen. 😊

I am now off to read Alis Front Page blog about the story or TravelBlog, which I have also shared with all my FaceBook friends, whom I have often poked to tell them about something or other that has been blogged about or said on TravelBlog or to show them a great photo of someplace I want to go to. Almost all my FaceBook friends are people I have met on my various travels, so sites like TravelBlog mean something to them too. 😊 Reply to this
