I’m Lisa from Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands, UK.

I've set up this blog for my family to keep track of my volunteer work in Africa over the next 6 months.

I love to travel and gain new life experiences along the way. I like meeting new people from all walks of life and enjoy different foods and cultures. I’m not really into beach holidays and so any travel destination will have plenty of activity whether it be mountains to climb, hikes in beautiful countryside, or a busy sightseeing itinerary. There's a big wide world out there!

Matt and I met while we were both traveling in Puerto Rico in 1998. He worked on a research site in El Yunque Rainforest on the main island and I worked as a divemaster on Vieques.

After 10 years living a settled existence in Vancouver, Canada, we felt a real need to get back to traveling. So we sold our house, put our stuff in storage and set off in search of great places to freedive and new adventures.

I'm a small Swede that simply just love to travel. I haven't been around as much as I'd wish to yet, but my life long goal is to visit all the countries in the world.
