Hey, hope everyone is well. We are finally leaving Australia behind (though I guess only for a few weeks). Its been a great jaunt up the East Coast with lots of great memories. Everyone said to me before I went away "oh you know Ade, the time will fly by". I always replied with "yeah yeah" without realising it ain't 'alf true. Crikey. Am even starting to forget about some of the places we've been to and have to resort to looking through photos to remind us. Since last time we spent a few days in the Whitsundays. I'd like to say we did a massive sailing adventure tour, taking in the reef. But we didn't. We did however go on a sailing day trip (and had the BEST BBQ IN THE WORLD) Went snorkelling for ... read more

Hey Guys :) This is where I live at the moment. How do you like it?? heheh I know it's GREAT!! Look at the view for instance. My room overviews the sea and it's a great feeling to wake up to that every day. I also have bought some nice furniture that has made my room look amazing. There's alot of Feng Shui going on there my friends, I tell you. I will update more soon but have to go home for dinner now. Love you all... read more

These are pictures from one night we had at the Botanics but I can't remember when, I'm sure it was fun though, loads of nice, if repetitive, pictures. Hope you enjoy, Fiona might add to this at a later date but I've nothing more to say on the matter. I thank you.... read more

Okay ya’ll, so do to a combination of procrastination, a busy schedule, computer flu, my own flu and just plain laziness it’s been over a month since my last blog so here goes….Let’s start with work and my plans, which have changed quite a bit. I will not make it back to Texas for graduation in May as I had originally intended, there is too much to explore here and too slim a possibility I will ever have this opportunity again. All of the interesting new faces I have seen, the people I have encountered and the stories I have heard have inspired me to see as much as I can, not only of Oz but the world. As I mentioned in my previous blog, my supervisor had casually asked about my interest in future ... read more

Well, not long to go now. Unfortunately I seem to have rather a lot left to do... I'm not exactly sure what, I think it mainly involves making decisions about what I do and don't need to pack. Today I figured I'd better bite the bullet - I started the day with every item of clothing I may want to pack laid out on the living room floor and then began the selection process.... The question is - can I fit all the stuff I need into just one backpack? (I'm assuming the answer is yes!) Odin seems keen to be included too...... read more

Well this morning was a total right-off after yesterday’s shenanigans, I’ll not go in to any details as to spare certain peoples blushes but it’s fair to say that it got messy, we toured the bars in town to great affect and just made the last train home, we left the last bar at about 10pm though and the last train was after midnight so I’ve no idea where the time went, the must have brought the clocks forward or something, yeah that’s what happened, investigation complete. Anyway, I finally draged her ladyship, (is that a real salutation?) (is salutation the right word for that context?) (is context the right word?) , out of bed for lunch, I'd already been wandering the streets eating in anywhere, and everywhere quite frankly, that was open. Trying to get ... read more

Another amazing day in Sydney so we decided to take a trip out to Bondi Beach, home of the gorgeous people, and walk along the cliffs to Coogee Beach via Bronte Beach. All these beaches are in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney which is only a couple of stops away on the train from Kings Cross, well so we thought, the train station is Bondi Junction which is still a bus ride away from the beach, we decided to walk it and took a wander down Oxford Street. We arrived at the beach some half an hour later and it was real busy, it was a Saturday after all, and a hot one at that. The beautiful people were out in force so we mingled right in, we took a walk along the sand watching the ... read more

The rainforest was amazing. Once again I braved the spiders and went trekking through the jungle and over the wobbly canopy walkway. Karl nearly stepped on a huge snake (yes - he screamed like a girl) but the scariest moment was when we visited the Orang Asli tribe and they taught us how to make and use a poison blow pipe. Let's just say they weren't the friendliest tribe we've met. Also went on a fantastic night safari and saw leopards, poisonous snakes and a bear cat. We had a long journey back to KL where we spent a final night at Les & Wendy's (huge thank you to you both!). The next morning we took the train to Singapore for a few slings. Singapore seemed almost futuristic after the rest of SE Asia, and we ... read more
