Wow i'm excited, 3 months to go and i can't wait, we've got abit of our kit, bags and footwear, a few handy things like plug adaptors and sporks. injections are underway but my doctors is closed today so i cant find out about what i need till tomorrow, i hate needles so this is probably the worst thing to organise. kim hasnt even enquired about her injections yet so to get her started i explained what dengue fever feels like, just one of the diseases we can encounter whilst we're away. (really bad flu that makes u feel like every bone in your body has broke.) suppose next its visa's. WHV for Oz is sorted already. Thai and vietnamese are what we require all others can be bought at the border or we dont ... read more

We had a really good night’s sleep at the motel and we got away at around 11 am. We were in no hurry to get to Bolton, which was just as well, as the traffic on both the M5 and M6 was very heavy. Our original plan was to go off the motorway if we saw anything of interest, but because the going was slow we decided to go straight through with a couple of coffee breaks. We got to Bolton about 5 pm and we went to Tesco to get some supplies. This is a huge shop and we spent a while having a look around before we headed off to Dave and Gill’s place. Dave and Gill had arranged for their kids to come around it was great to see them all again. We ... read more

Hello All A few pictures for you all to giggle over....I'm always pulling some sort of face in pictures lately, hard to find one of me actually looking like a norman person!! Been pretty busy since I been back from France with partys at the weekends. Last weekend was my friend Alan's 30th and he had a party at the local pub so off we all went to celebrate. This was the first time I had seen most of my friends since actually coming home for good so it was 20 questions from everyone about what had happened. It was a good night and nice to catch up with everyone. Its nice to have the great english pub culture back where everyone is relaxed, there is no pretence and everyone knows everyone else. By the end ... read more

Well hello there Not been on here all week becuase to be honest I haven't done much but run around and see family, plus I'm actually not very well at the moment, picked up a bad cold so have been blowing my nose none stop and have a sore throat and chesty cough, welcome to england....haha. So my last update was on Monday when me and Ed went to Beeston Castle so here is a brief run down on what I have been doing since then. Monday Night After Beeston Castle Ed and I decided to go to the pub so my friend Chris collected us from home and we went up to a pub called The Varsity, its a nice place, not so much local pub-ish but more student pub. We stayed there until they ... read more

Wow....what a night!!! Not gonna write much as I think the pictures will speak for themselves. All I say is that I drank way too much, had a good laugh and ended up with very sore feet from all the dancing - I think everyone had a good time. We started off at my sister Sam's for some drinks and nibbles and then went to Harvey's for drinks and to meet some friends, from there went to a few other bars, meet up with other friends along the way and then ended up in a club. Me and my sister Tam's stayed out till late and got in around 4am...ops!! Was very rough this morning, Mum woke me up at 1pm, sisters said she came to check I was still breathing a couple of time...haha. Done ... read more

Cant believe that today is the 1st of August, where has the year gone! The last entry I did was on Tuesday (Birthday) so what have I done since........ Wednesday Woke up and packed up some food, mainly left overs from the BBQ and headed to pick my sister Tammy and my Nephews Kieran, Jesse and Cameron up for a day out. The weather had made a turn for the worse but we lived in hope that it would brighten up, it had been so lovely since I arrived so I couldn't complain. Anywho....we decided to drive to Formby National Park which is around an hour and 15 minute drive from where my sister lives. They have a forrest there that you can walk through that normally has lots of Squirrel's running around that you feed ... read more

Just a quick entry today........ Today is my 25th Birthday!!! You know the best thing about today was that I got asked for ID in the shopping centre when I bought a bottle of wine and some beers.....hehe. Made my day!! Wanted to say thank you to everyone for all the text messages you sent me, I had so many I couldn't keep up to reply to them all (sorry if I missed yours). It was very touching that so many of you remembered my Birthday and that you took the time to send me a message, it was a nice reminder that I do have a lot of friends. My mum's was in shock with the amount of messages I was getting from both the UK and Perth and each time I read them out ... read more

Its the day after the night before...... I'm alive and in one piece after the wedding, though my head is a little groggy. Woke up this morning at some ungodly hour with the room still spinning, went to lift my head and thought this is not such a good idea!! Drowned myself in some much needed fluid that wasn't alcoholic and took my sorry self back to bed. Woke up at about 11am still feeling rough but getting better, parents made me a yummy roast dinner which smelt sooo good, have enjoyed that and am now starting to feel a lot better, need to top up my fluids though :o) So...the wedding!! What a great day :o) The weather was fantastic, bright, sunny, warm but not sticky which it has been for the last few days. ... read more

Well well, I'm back in sunny Bolton!!! (it is actually sunny, amazing) I arrived back yesterday at around 9.30am (UK time) and boy does it feel strange!! I thought hitting UK soil would make me go "Oh wow am I glad to be home" and dont get me wrong I'm glad to be back but not so sure its home anymore. Since arriving yesterday morning I had a shower and got collected by my Bezzie Friend Em's and we went into town to get my shoes for the wedding. They are HIGH, all I could think of when I saw them was 'Monica, you are going to be so proud of me!' They are really nice and actually comfy but again I'm stressing VERY HIGH!! But the rest of the gils have them so I want ... read more

Just less than 2 weeks now until our 12 month three legged World Tour begins ( as in 3 different legs to it, not as in a school sports day). The plans are coming together nicely as Angela frantically works to finalise the details and it's all starting to get very exciting (it swings between this and blind panic). You'll already been gathering that this is our first ever blog, so please do make allowances. It probably won't be professional and polished but it will give an insight into our travels that will be honest and should be exciting. We've already had a chuckle as we've named our blog "AC DC World Tour" (obviously derived from our initials) but have had 5 rock fans contact asking for details of the gigs.........some people!!... read more
