I made some weekend trips down to London during October and November. It was mainly to spend time with friends, see musicals and operas and also for visiting places of interest that complimented my university studies. I did not do as much sightseeing compared to when I was in London during the summer but there are some places where I would recommend visits to: St Martin-in-the-Fields I visited this beautiful church a couple of times during my travels. St Martin-in-the-Fields is landmark in its own right and adjacent to Trafalgar Square. On my first visit, I enjoyed exploring the church and admiring its architecture especially the new East Window and having refreshments at the Cafe in the Crypt. The highlight for me was sitting in the chruch and listening to the orchestra practice for one of ... read more

Pleasant greetings to you all from deep in the heart of London - what a gigantic city! Having come from Whistler, a town of about 10,000 - London feels like I'm on one of Earth's moons it's so large. My journey here was long but surprisingly I'm still awake aside from the couple times I did one of those head-whip things while sitting on the Tube. The flight to Houston was packed but luckily I had an aisle seat and slept most of the way. I had about 40 minutes connection before the London flight started to board but it gave me enough time to wash my face and breathe some non-recycled air before boarding the Boeing 777. Can I say that my flight to London was the BEST flight I've ever had in all my ... read more

Some people are just like that.. I always admired people who are able to maintain a subtle, quiet strength and confidence about them, even if the status quo is to toot your own horn because you can. Not the ‘he who shouts the loudest’ wins-type. This is how I hope to be some day. I’ve recently worked with the FS practice and my boss was a small man; maybe 5 foot 5 and slim. It’s likely that I weighed more, if not the same. Anyway, he’s always well-dressed and very articulate. Above the average. It’s mandatory to be polished and articulate in this business, so that says a lot. His education came as no surprise to me. I was more surprised at how down to earth he was, how very disarming and funny and almost endearing ... read more
