So I write this on a cloudy drizzling English summers afternoon, wearing jeans for the first time in at least 6 months. Good to be back! It was amazing to see the family again, and also some friends. Now I have a little time to reflect on my year before I jump headlong into the world of work! I left you last time on the overnight express up to Chiang Mai in North Thailand. Chiang Mai is a beautifully laid back city, with what would have been wonderful temples had I not been templed out (after you have seen one, you've seen them all). I stayed in a hostel with a delightful man/lady boy, not really sure which one but I think he cross-dresses just on weekends so that's ok right? I explored a waterfall up ... read more

Today, we should visit in the morning the little towns Bourton-on-the-water & Chipping Campden. Really nice towns, but not spectacular. In the afternoon, we should visit the Roman Villa (Yanworth), where ruins of one of the biggest villa's from the Roman Empire were open for public. This would be the highlight of the day. However, this day was a disappointment (not by the weather). Today, at 9 we left our hotel in Swindon after the breakfast. First, we should visit Bourton-on-the-Water. We took a tourist route with the bus. Our driver drove "adventurous". Some roads were very small, and we had a big tour bus. The driver drove maybe a little bit hard, also through the curves of the road, and sometimes we had to brake very hard, because of oncoming traffic. However, I never felt ... read more

We couldn't lie in too long as the B&B owners were off on holiday on the Sunday (this wasn't their fault, their plans got changed at the last minute) - she did let us leave & lock up ourselves though. We headed up to the barn to help my parents & some friends to take down the decorations. Some went to Kate & Tom for their wedding in September, others (plus some presents) got taken by Vix & Neil to drop off to us at a later date. We headed off a bit later than planned & stopped in Abergavenny for lunch & to wander around the steam fayre that was there. We also grabbed some groceries to suppliment our supply of wedding leftovers! Mark drove us over to the far end of the country & ... read more

The big day dawned & we had a tasty breakfast, showered & headed up to the barn to put on the finishing touches. I then got changed & Vix drove me over to Cheltenham for the legal bit at the registry office withnessed by close family & a few friends only. Very simple but nice ceremony there. We then headed back to Postlip for a quick bite & anothger change into the real wedding clothes! Mark got changed & headed down to the barn to meet & greet the guests whilst Clare, Vix & Zahira got th task of making me look as pretty as possible! Running a tad late the lovely B&B owner ran us down in her 4x4. Just as we were catching our breaths we heard the entrance music playing - Saffron's Wedding ... read more

So the morning was a hectic rush of loading a good portion of the wedding bits & bobs plus all out honeymoon stuff into the car - amazingly it all fitted with room to see out! We arrived at Postlip Tithe Barn late morning to find mum already sorting out her carload! Many friends turned up to help turn a working barn into a magical hall. We had a team (including myself) putting up the swagging, another making bows to go with it, a couple of lads hanging the wonderful bunting (made by lots of friends!), Mark & Dad strung up the fairy lights & cloth behind the stage, the table & chairs were put up, stage arranged, mum & Clare worked wonders with the flowers! I apologise for turning into Bride-zilla but everyone wanted me ... read more

3. Tiene pH neutro. Regula el pH, aumentando su poder tampón. ... read more

We have checked out of the United States of America and can now look back on 53 days of special times with the most fantastic of memories. We have seen wonderful sights and met some delightful people. It has been all we had hoped for and more. Our last city visit was to Boston and our three days in ‘the Cradle of America” was just what we wished for. We last visited the city in 2001 when we met up with a good friend of ours (Kevin M) who was commuting to and from New York. We had done the ‘Duck Tours’ and Freedom Trail so this time we wanted to do a few different things. Last October I booked Boston Red Sox tickets for a home game versus the Orioles so that is where we ... read more
