The big day dawned & we had a tasty breakfast, showered & headed up to the barn to put on the finishing touches. I then got changed & Vix drove me over to Cheltenham for the legal bit at the registry office withnessed by close family & a few friends only. Very simple but nice ceremony there.
We then headed back to Postlip for a quick bite & anothger change into the real wedding clothes! Mark got changed & headed down to the barn to meet & greet the guests whilst Clare, Vix & Zahira got th task of making me look as pretty as possible!

Running a tad late the lovely B&B owner ran us down in her 4x4. Just as we were catching our breaths we heard the entrance music playing - Saffron's Wedding Dance (Firefly, our Mrs Reynolds - thanks Dave for the music!) so after minimal checks dad walked me in & passed me up to Mark who waited on stage with Ben & Neil.

Uncle Martyn acted as officiate with Vix & Neil reading poem (I do I will I have by Ogden Nash & Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy). We read our personal vows to each other when we exchanged rings and did a water ceremony (words by Mark!) mixing yellow & blue to create "Purest Green". Uncle Brian discussed a bible reading & led everyone in a prayer for us. We finalised it with a simple hand-fasting ceremony before heading out for photos & silly games on the top terrace whilst the caterers set up the food.

The food was DELICIOUS! Catering by Moveable Feasts (my cousin Jane's business) - several veggie salads, happy hog roast, bread rolls. Followed by profiteroles, fruit salad & lemon roulade (later made by my aunt) &, of course, wedding cake!

After food Liam Robinson Dance Band set up & we had our first dance to Book of Love. Then the band got going with the ceilidh which was as great as ever! This is the band that play at the SciFi conventions we go to (Redemption & EasterCon).

After that some Random Music was played until everyone left to return to their accommodation amid torrential rain. Amusingly as our B&BH was just up the track we had to run for it! Managed to keep the rain off the dress & even my shoes didn't suffer too much!

Perfect day!!!
