Today I made a list about the things that need to happen. I am visiting some schools and Special Schools to understand more about the Curriculum in England. I probably gently scare the people with my accent, but really love the way some teachers try to find out if I'm French or what. It is a kind of compliment, but it also includes the fact that If you don't know any Hungarians, you will not be able to categorise me by my accent. Somehow when people guessing they try hard to Judge where actually in Eastern Europe I came from, which makes me smile and at the same times I feel my nerves just at stomach level. I was thinking about different stories, which would entertain me on those occasions. Last one when walked around Ashdown ... read more

Last time, when I was Listening the news in my little car, while traveling to work and accepting the fact that everything is going to the wrong direction, thought about spending the weekend with animals and plants. The resoult is refreshing. The air was just fresh enough and the news after did not reach their destination (to destroy my brain cells). If you feel dizzy from all the News you can not ignore, just go for a walk.... read more

One Sunday a year a couple of churches in Reigate and Redhill get together and have church in the park. I ended up being here for that one Sunday, so I went with my friend and her family. The weather was cloudy, but it didn’t rain. It was pretty cool and there were a lot of people. Afterwards, we had a picnic at the park. We played a couple of games and chilled until it was time to go to a night service. We got to go to a church in a coffee shop and everybody gets a free drink for going. It was really cool and I loved getting a free drink that was normally 4 pounds. The next morning we had a relaxed day where we hung out and played games until a bible ... read more

The alarm was most unpleasant and went off less than 2 1/2 hours after we went to sleep. I tried to get out of bed a few times but my head was lead. I'm not sure how I managed it in the end but it was clear that I was being punished for the big night out. Nik (legend that he is) was downstairs at 0500 as he had promised and looked marginally better than I felt... must have been the whiskey he poured into my glass I reckon. Checking in at Amsterdam was easy and two bacon and egg muffins improved my state slightly. As we had booked Easy Jet, there was no lounge for me to sleep in waiting for the flight and we spent 20 minutes standing in the queue to board. I ... read more

Saturday 7th June. Today was the start of my first weekend overseas which meant that Auntie Janet had time off work to spend with me. We met up two of her friends from work Ulrika and Sara, and Maren (the German exchange student staying with Janet) and set off to go visit a Farm Shop & Cafe in Forrest Row. The shop was really close to wear Janet lives, taking only 15 minutes to walk to. As we were walking up to the farm we saw a pen with little piglets suckling their mother. It was so good to see how healthy the pigs all looked and how well cared for they all were. They had space to roam around and mud to roll in. At the farm shop there was a fruit and vegetables stand ... read more

Thursday 5th June Living here I am getting used to the ever changing weather. Having to wear multiple layers each day to strip off and add more as the day weather continues in its indecisive behaviour. I woke this morning to the most beautiful day. Actually I woke up at 4:30am which is not very pleasant, but the sun comes up at that time! Here we have approximately 16.5hrs of sunlight a day (normally 4:30am-9:30pm). A contrast from Canberra's winter 9.5hrs! It does make it easier to wake early. I seem to wake at 6am feeling alert and energised which is not a feeling I have ever felt in Australia at 6am! Waking up to a lovely summer English day I set out on the bus to Brighton. The ride took 1.5hrs along tiny little roads ... read more

Since I have been here I have been struggling with not being busy and stressed. Before I set out on this trip I was working three jobs, helping Mum and Dad with their move to Sydney, temporarily moved in with Cathie, attempted to finish all my concert dances at my schools, did a two week dance development with Cadi McCarthy, taught professional classes for AusdanceACT, planned my brothers bucks night, celebrated his wedding to Maddy, all the while trying to see as many people as I could before leaving and spending the quality time I had left with McGee. I'm not complaining because everything that was going on was enjoyable, I had just a little too much on my plate. I had been stressed and burnt out for such a long time. Now with all this ... read more

Today is my third day here in Forest Row. I have had a couple of days to rest and recover from the little jet lag I had been feeling and I now feel better settled in and a bit more like myself again. So today feels like a good day to start my little blog to keep everyone up to date on my adventures. I'm not sure how long this will last. I'm not like my amazing storyteller friend Rachel who blogged beautifully for six months and if I even try to compare my writing to her I feel almost illiterate. However I will do my best to write little bits and pieces along my journey and hope that my entries will suffice. I arrived in London on the 2nd June after a long flight. There ... read more
