The list
You can never go wrong reflecting on things you should do... Today I made a list about the things that need to happen. I am visiting some schools and Special Schools to understand more about the Curriculum in England. I probably gently scare the people with my accent, but really love the way some teachers try to find out if I'm French or what. It is a kind of compliment, but it also includes the fact that If you don't know any Hungarians, you will not be able to categorise me by my accent. Somehow when people guessing they try hard to Judge where actually in Eastern Europe I came from, which makes me smile and at the same times I feel my nerves just at stomach level. I was thinking about different stories, which would entertain me on those occasions. Last one when walked around Ashdown forest where the local Farmer looking couples took out their Labradors, Jack Russels, Staffordshire Bulls, Spaniels and must mention Hungarian Vizslas which are quite popular around the area. I'm hardly an expert in dog breeds, but recently had read Virginia Woolf's novel, "Flush" and the entertaining brain killer BBC news "Favourite dog breeds map". So not that I expected that someone will run after me
Dogs on leeds
Nosy dogs smellng my hands and bark when they feel like. asking "Where are you from?"- even though it can happen in the most awkward and unrealistic situations -, but 'better be safe than sorry' as they say. So I thought today I am not an immigrant, just an explorer journalist who writes on some occasions to the Hungarian travel magazine. I'm on my expedition in Ashdown forest, gathering information about mud, leaves, trees, dogs, plants and local people. I did see it as an explorer, and although nobody approached me with any questions -only dogs to smell my hands which probably had the Cat Rescue Centre’s specific smell on it -, it was fun to imagine all the answers of the never asked questions. We all do that (I hope) in certain situations...don't we? One weird thing i used to do when walking bout the woods and parks watching people with their dogs, if it was a Hungarian Vizsla who are famous about being very nosy, I used to say it with a surprised tone "Wow this dog is Hungarian!". "O yes"- came the reply. "Just like me". Honestly, this kind of conversation never goes too far, but I somehow found it quite entertaining, even though it's probably just sad.
I never meant to be an immigrant. I just realised after seven years that I became one. The plan was to spent one year abroad. And that was in 2007. So what really happened? Life. It grabbed me on my neck kindly, to show some stuff, which I have never seen before. I try to learn English, improve myself in many ways and be less selfish as i was yesterday. To keep remind ourselves about the important things, we need to make lists, and hang them on the wall, so we see them. If things are written, they express existence even more vigorously. Don't you think?
