Hi, Guess what? We are still in Barcelona! The other girls will publish before I do so you all know. I forgot to tell you that yesterday I ate octopus. Exploring how to somewhat stick to my diet (vegan, gluten and soy free) this trip has been interesting. On Thursday, in Paris, after navigating the French medical system for four hours regarding Savannah´s sprained ankle, she and I sat down at a lovely sidewalk cafe, to be joined by Aunt Lora a few minutes later, and had lovely salads with three different kinds of smoked fish, because we needed the protein so badly. It was very delicious and seemed like a better protein option to me than eggs. So then the next day, yesterday, here in Barcelona, I ordered what seemed to be some kind of ... read more

I can´t believe it! It´s almost time for me to go back stateside! I leave Spain in 11 days and Europe in 2 weeks. And, best of all, I probably have more work to get done now than I have had to do the past school year, but no worries. It will get done, one way or the other. Just to update you, this semester has gone so fast! I went to London for 4 days over Semana Santa (Holy Week) the first week of April. It was gorgeous weather the days I was there and I had a lot of fun strolling through parks and museums and seeing Spamalot, The Monty Python Musical. I took a siesta in Kew Gardens on a bench among the daffodills (something I hear not too many people get ... read more

Hola madre, hola padre, estamos aqui en campamento de GRANADA. Adam finally made it to Granada. Arriving in Granada was like stepping into another Spain. ¨Dark and brooding¨is how it is often described and Granada didn´t disappoint as the temperature dropped and it started to rain. Granada is the home of the Alhambra, a Moorish citadel and palace, a big university and a great night-life. You could really feel the muslim influence on the city, in the architecture, food and even the people. Our run had ended with booking accommodation over the phone, so we hiked into town to try our luck. As it happened, there were hundreds of places to stay and we hit the jackpot on our first try, right in the heart of the main area. Our host was a lively character, ... read more

Hola Everyone, Before i get on to the exciting task of recounting the last 10 or so days of my fabulous world adventure, it has been brought to my attention by the team from Globdollock and Frentargy Associates that there has been a suprisingly small amount of attention been paid to a super quick dry towel given to me by their client Patrice. So in an attempt to rectify the situation, and thus satisfy the terms of the court agreement I will attempt to sketch in the past 2 months in the life of the super quick dry towel. The towel has travelled everywhere with me, it has seen what I have seen, experienced what I have experienced and been a constant companion and friend in tough times. It has dryed me after the coldest ... read more

Here we are, in Barcelona. AGAIN!! We checked out of our fabulous and tiny hostel around noon, after we woke up to the owner pounding on our door, telling us we had to be out in 15 minutes. Courtney headed up to the front to beg for more time so that we could take a shower before we left for a whole day of sight seeing. Our entire day of site seeing turned into an entire day of sitting at the train station. Being directed back and forth between ticket windows, and waiting in extremely long lines. The train that we were planning to take to Bern, Switzerland doesn´t run on Saturdays. We booked a train for tomorrow and set out to find somewhere to sleep. After wandering around Barcelona for 3 1/2 hours, we finally ... read more

The train ride was difficult and long, but we eventually found our way into the heart of the city of Spain. It was about a 50 minute walk before we could find an open hostel. who new comic book conventions were so popular?! Ummm, so i realized my camera was not working properly with my lense. I took it in to a store and come to find out, it doesnt work with SLR´s only film cameras, and i had potentially ruined my whole camera. 30 minutes later i had a new lense on my camera, a better wide angle, a lot of Euros. Spain thus far is a little dissapointing. I hope to have some positive feedback the next time we write. Maybe some photos too... now that my camera works. as they say here, adios! ... read more

Well, we had to say goodbye to Paris last night as we rushed headlong through the metro & streets to catch our night train. We didn´t have beds this time, so we tried reclining in a full voiture for 12 hours. My seat was broken, so if I touched the back of it it fell in on the guy behind me! Haha. All I could say was ¨desolee!¨I spent the night in various positions, like one in which my legs were against the window and my head was hanging off the seat so that people brushed my hair as they walked by. It really was hilarious. At least I don´t have a twisted neck! And it was a very cheap passage. When we arrived here in Barcelona this morning we were exhausted, and I at ... read more
