First train ride on my own was short and sweet, acompanied by Shantiram i relaxed straight into my 45min ride from Valkara to Trivandrum, feeling that things could only get better! A short, not so nice meal followed with a quick trip to a bar for a warm rum and cola, not really want i wanted to do but Matthias, Daniela & Freek (A 21 year old Dutch guy, Matt had met and become friends with the day before.) were up for it so i went along. The bar was dark and seedy, full of old drunk Indian guys and young silly backpackers, we left though the locked fire exit a little after 10, time for bed :) Saturday the 30th was to be the last day i had with Daniela so we had a lovely breakfast and went of exploring the town. My yoga stretched body and newly discovered emotions, where finally ready on the 17th to take a night bus from Panalum to Hampi. The 14hour bus ride began in an old bus station at 10pm, backpacks on and snacks at the ready, me and my friend (still a bit bitter, haha) embarked on a journey from hell! Well not hell, hell but hellish. We had chosen reclining seats instead of sleeper, my choice after nearly flying out a widow in an upper sleeper last year. Half way done the bus, bumps wern't the problem, it was more the sounds of the horn and the engine which powered along as if it used to power a roket. A month and i bit ago, after many phone calls and texts about traveling India together me and my Dutch man got our act together and booked our flight. On the 7th of January at 10.40am our flight to Mumbai left terminal 5 without us!! Snow had closed Gatwck and tested Mattias' determination to get to London.
