It can be a little bit of a problem when two beautiful young white ladies find themselves in a train station in the middle of the country surrounded by Indian men, the problem only gets worst when you find out that the train ticket you booked a few days before is unconfirmed and to get on the train would be risking a fine!
I took the lead and told Daniela that we should just get on the train and play dumb, really we didn't have much other choice. We had spent 750R on a 2 hour Auto journey from Om beach to Kumta train station and it was 12am, really there was no going back.
We embarked the train and set off looking for the conductor so we could explain that we didn't understand our ticket where should we sit... To our horror, the whole train was booked,, from 1st class to 3rd there was absolutely no where to sit! After paying a 250R fine and buying a new ticket the conductor told us we could sit on his bed with him, so two ladys two back packs and 2 eye drouping hours later we were relived to be
told that beds 40 and 41 were free for the next hour YAY!! One hour, staring Indian men and rude lights on in the night restless sleep and up to move again... The next few hours followed with moving and trying to sleep becoming a far to common rutine... and unfortunatly when i as at last fanily settled at around 7am it was Indian train awake time and i wa shook awake by a man who waited to sit and stare out of the widow... Indian trains have a bed at 7pm up at 7am and anyone who doesn't fit it must lump it, it is in fact the way the cookie crumbles! Daniela and I sort out and pounced on a free side space where we slept for another hour before the heat became to much and the chai wallas chanting began to grate us. Truly the hardest, hottest loudest train ride of my life but we survived and were so relived when a kind young boy with a sweet smile approached us at Alleppy train station, he said hello gave us his car then left us in peace to smoke our journey away.
Mandala Beach house, the
nicest place in Kerela, wonderful people, lovely rooms, a really good vibe. Daniela and i spent a night there playing shit head ith the boys. Then the followin day took a cannoe out onto the back water for two hours, before getting a 100R each taxi to Fort Kochin 😊 SCORE!!!
Back to Matt...
We arrived at Harbouage home stay around 6pm, hungry and hot we jumped in the shower and dried of on the beconay in the late afternoon heat. Suddenly a kiss was planted on my cheek and arms rapped around my body, i let myself be hugged, i'd missed the sercuity of his touch and the safety of his arms.
Peace and Love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
