Day Fifteen-Ko Samui The Catamaran ferry to Ko samui only takes 20mins so we had a nice short journey - we arrived at our next resort and had to walk down a muddy path a little unsure of what to expect at the end. We walked through past some bungalows to a bar/restaurant and asked if we were in the right place. The bar was right on the beach front and the weather was gorgeous! We were shown to our bungalow which was average but clean and the bed was comfy. We headed out to the beach and sunbathed and chilled out in the sun for the afternoon. Day Fourteen - Koh Phangan After our epic sleep we woke up full of beans wanting to do something on our last day on the Island. We lazed around the pool for a bit. A girl called Mollie was also by the pool - an English girl travelling on her own - we obvs got chatting and she is a PE teacher from cornwall. We decided to head over to the top of the island to visit a beach thats good for snorkelling - we asked Mollie if she wanted to come and it turned into a good snorkelling trip - apart from Mollie and Mat thinking they saw a huge jellyfish which scared us all!! Day Thirteen - Koh Phangnan After meeting Katie and Nick yesterday by the pool we meet up with them again last night and went for some food and a few drinks - we went to a small bar called Dragonfly owned by an english guy called Matt - he was really nice we stayed in there for the rest of the night and worked our way through a bottle of Samsong which is a Thai Rum!! This morning our heads were a little sore but we woke up early and got sorted - planning the night before to meet Nick and Katie for breakfast at 10:30 to start our day of adventure!!! Day Twelve - Koh Phangan Alarm set for 7:15 so we could get up and re-pack our rucksacks again. Taxi in town and the main pier was leaving the resort at 8:30. Once we got to the pier we sorted our ferry tickets out and hunted down a place to have breakfast and some caffeine. The ferry leaves at 9:30 so we had plenty of time. Once we had finished we headed to the boat - there was a massive que to get tickets so we were pleased we sorted that before. Ferry journey took about an hour - when we arrived in Koh Phangan we got a taxi to our resort and checked in with Mike the owner who is an english man and really chatty and helpful. Day Ten - Ko Tao Its my BIRTHDAY!!! Woke up to find no sign of Mat? Looked at the mobile to see what the time was and there was a text msg that read look under your pillow!......under my pillow was a postcard from mat with a clue to another place where i found my first prezzie and then another postcard with a clue to my 2nd prezzie!! Lucky Girl!! We headed down for breakfast then decided that we would just take it easy all day - we got some comfy sun-loungers on the beach and literally didn't move apart from to go snorkelling - the beach has some amazing corals and loads of fish! Day Eleven- Ko Tao Just worked out how to change the date of the Blog......oh well im sure you can work out the order of them by the day number. We both woke up with STINKING hangovers!!! We really needed some caffeine but woke up too late for breakfast so thought we might aswell wait until lunch time - it was only 11:00. We relaxed on sun-loungers again and the weather was sooooooo hot - prob not a good combo with a hangover - although Mat confessed this is how he normally feels on holiday every day!! (Alkie!). Day Nine - Ko Tao We woke up at 4:30am this morning to get into the mini bus arranged by our resort to take us to Surat Thani to get the Ferry to Ko Tao. We were not sad to say goodbye to the Jungle it had been a nice experience but it was very damp and dark and we were sick of getting bitten to death by all the bugs! The mini bus drive took about two hours and any hope of sleeping was gone as the roads here are pretty poor and full of pot holes so it was very bumpy. Day Eight - Koh Sok National Park Woke up completely exhausted today!? Today has really been a re-charging the batteries day as me and Mat have hardly done anything! We have read, swam in the river and sunbathed all day long!! The trips and excursions are available but the resort is cash only and we didn't have enough money on us to take part today - but we both didn't mind as i think we needed to just chill out. Early start tommoro to get the 8:30 ferry from Surat Thani to Koh Tao. We have to get a taxi from the resort at 6:30am to make it on time!! Day Seven - Phi Phi to Koh Sok The alarm went off at 6:00am so we could start packing and getting ready to leave for the taxi longboat that takes us to the main town from the resort at 8:00am. We thought the ferry left Phi Phi for Krabi at 10:30 but when we got there at 8:45 we were told it was 9:00! So we quickly bought our tickets and jumped on the ferry just in time. We sat inside this time as the sky was looking a bit grey - the journey took 2 hours and when we arrived in Krabi we were decided that we were going to get a taxi to the general bus station and just hop on the bus to Koh Sok.........we were told at the ferry port at krabi ... read more
Day Six - Phi Phi As is was our last day and the sun wasnt shining as much as the day before we decided to head into the town and have a look around the shops and grab some lunch. We took the walk through the hills via the viewpoint of the coast - the walk was a bit tricky in flip flops!! It started raining which made it a bit more tricky and muddy and slippy - we got soaked but it was pretty nice as we were sweating buckets! After 45mins we finally got the the town - we had a good look round and i bought a few bits - the clothes are sooooo cheap! We both bought a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses for £3!
