Ent you better had a pretty good haircut to make me blow a day in Phuket town. There is nothing to do here except walk to the town square which is pretty much the size of Brentwood mall. Anyways, I am leaving the Talang Guesthouse tmr and will be heading to Patong tommorrow where the beach and night life is. I have to admit there is no travellors around in site but there are alot of young local kids, this is pretty much as local as you can get. I am going to look for trouble, hopefully I will meet up with an aussie so we can practice Black Hawk Down on the walkie talkie again. I am trying to find a pub or bar to go to, but everything is closed. Baggins out... read more

Hi all... thought Id lay a blog on y'all.  We're currently in Bangkok right now, the plan was to be in Phuket by now but like you all  know time seems to slow down quite a bit when you are with a member of the Ent species... joking aside we've needed a little while to recover from our journey.  A weekend of partying combined with a flight can be pretty rough... I know I only got one half decent night of sleep and James was going on 5 hours before our flight.  That first flight was absolutely brutal... 13 cramped hours highlighted by the shittiest movie in existence Cody Banks 2.  It wasnt all bad for James as he was spared the annoyance of sitting next to me and my story regarding 2 weeks ago when our hockey ... read more

First victim of the Mansoon would be the night of the 15th.  I was wondering around the streets with my new found confidence, about 1AM and the stupid mansoon rain hit like a ton of bricks.  Thankfully I had some cover but there was no Tuk Tuk to be found.  Waited for alittle while and a Tuk Tuk stopped with the drivers wife sitting at the back.  I tried to negotiate a price but he kept saying rain rain so which meant he had me by the balls and I would have to fork over some money this time around.  I wanted to hit the bars but the dude had no idea where he was going.  So that was that....yes I still have the stupid rash.  I have not been able to find a cure for ... read more

Woke up and had breakfast with the Canadian girls one last time and said our goodbyes.  They wanted me to email them when I get to Kho Panyang but I will fake a seizure that day.  I am finally free from the claws of estrogen but I still have my rash =( On the bus, I met some new travellers - 2 frenchies and 2 aussies.  Frank and Melissa are really cool (aussies), they are on their honey moon and they had some funny stories to tell, like how they saw this snake show but it was really with 4 ppl and the ring announcers kept telling the guy to bite the snake.  I told him about my harrison hot spring aka Ass pond story so we got a good laugh.  The frenchies, sebastian (please say ... read more

Okay so I finally found out what I had. Apparently if you are in the woods for too long under heat and mansoon, you get this nasty shit call Prickley heat. I toke some photo's so I can gross some of you out when I come back. Maybe I'll scan one and post it on this blog during one of your lunch times. =) So what is Prickly heat - pretty much this weird rash that you get because you are sweating too much from the humidity and sun. Your pores gets buggered up and this rash forms that looks like prickely bumps. Much or less like the STD rash Griffo gets from the lady boys =) hehe..i can bust his chops now because I know he won't be able to check his email, as I ... read more

Slepted through my wake up call and had to skipped my free breakfast because I was suppose to be meeting in the main lobby in 25 minutes. Today is Thai cooking which will take the entire day. The Thai cookingcourse is wicked. We started off at the market and was shown how to pick and prepare fresh veggies and fruits. We toke a 20 minute bus ride to the outskirts at this cooking school ran by two brothers.  They are apparently really good in Chang Mai.  I learnt how to cook all flavour of curry ( the best is Ping Ann curry which is different from all the curry, I was fortunate they showed us this style as it's not a common thing amongst westerners to order in thai resturants, this stuff kicks ass, Í'll be ... read more

DAY 1 So we split up into 2 cabs going to the Bangkok airport.  I rode with Jenny and we ended up in the International aiport and we didn't even know it.  We kept waiting for the other girls but they were in the domestic area.  Unlike Canada or BC for the matter, Domestic is like an entirely different airport on it's own.  So after about 5 tries, we finally got a cab and we got to the Domestic airport, and we literally had about 2 minutes to get ourself onto the plane.  Jessica pre did our flight intinary so we didn't have to waste time.  Talk about cutting it close and not making the flight entirely. The flight was 45 minutes and upon arrival was greeted by our driver.  We stayed at a guesthouse called ... read more

Khaosan Road, backpacker haven with bunch of drunks . believe it or not ?? RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN. I am staying at Classic Inn and it is cheap. hi Everyone June 12 Saturday 8:30pm Bangkok time Hello from the City of Angel, NOT Los Angeles but Bangkok. Same as LA as in "nasty traffic and crowded" but different from LA as in Asia vs America. No matter how many times that I have been here, Bangkok is always same as in "many many people with bad traffic" but different as in many new buildings, bars, and also believe it or not "SKYTRAIN & SUBWAY". So Mike, does it mean less cars on the road??? the anwser is still NO. Are you kidding "NO CARS MEAN NO FEET". the roads are still AWEFUL. Annie and I went to the weekend market and it was SUPER CROWDED. I went off on shopping just a little bit :) For me, Bangkok is always same same and different ... read more
