soooo its been a while! i am firstly going to make a huge great apology for being soo very bad at keeping my travelblog up to date! but i guess all that counts is that i am having a good time.. right? soo i headed out of Koh Phi Phi back across to Koh Phangnan where all i did was drink and party- there is absolutely no point me trying to pretend i did anything else as it was the full moon party and that is all that you can do during the 3 days that it is on. Hej allesammen Så sker det endelig.....og hvor vi dog bare er spændte:) Der har virkelig været tryk på her den sidste uge med job, rengøring i skabe og skuffer, pakke rejsetasker, ordne visum, læse guidebøger, fejre Sofie, lave julemad til 26 mennesker, få styr på denne Travelblog - mon den nu virker?? Imorgen flyver vi til Singapore, og drøner ud til Zoo, for det skulle bare være så godt, og nu må vi opleve det :) Vi skriver et eller andet sted derud fra.... We had heard lots of good reports from fellow travellers about Singapore Zoo and decided to dedicate a day to it. We weren't disappointed in the slightest!! We caught the MRT to a station near the Kranji War memorial, where the name of my grandfathers brother was engraved in memory of this loss during the war. As we exited the railway station, the heavens opened. There was no shelter close by, so we darted for the nearest bus stance. The rain didnt seem to be passing so we jumped on a bus to the War memorial as we wanted to ensure that we had enough time for the zoo. It was nice to see that the War memorial and graveyards were kept so well, with numerous gardeners working hard as we walked around. Although I did ... read more

This is a must do in Singapore..... So all you people out there "Just do it"!!! You have my word that you'll enjoy it. I have never been a zoo lover, as I can't bear to see animals in cages. But this is so very different...... The animals are well looked after, it's clean and they have the best surroundings. They also seem very happy and a lot of them were born at the zoo. (And no, I don't work for them, I speak as I find) It's amazing at how close you get to the animals, you could almost touch them in some cases. We discovered lots of animals, some that we didn't even know existed. The Alligator Snapping Turtle being one of them.. They also have press button information in 4 langages at ... read more

Wednesday 26 September Singapore zoo is amazing. Taxi was 15 bucks each way. We got the $21 tickets that included unlimited tram rides. Worth it. Fragile forest was a highlight. Once in there is nothing separating you from the animals and butterflies. I am getting a T shirt made that says "I brake for lemurs" Also got a family photo done with the orangutangs.
