I have 3 very very best friends and what is more fun than to have a trip with them!!! They are Teyha, Ieien & Ain. Since we were all 21 years old in 2010, we really felt that its time to celebrate freedom by having our own vacation trip. We all agreed on going to Perhentian Besar Island in Terengganu!!!! 21st May 2010 We were all very excited about the trip and has gathered in my house to wait for our best 'boy' friend, Zhafran to send us to the bus station. We left the National Park via the train that runs up through the jungle. As such the scenery out the window was beautiful. We passed through miles upon miles oflush green rain forest, crossed over wide curving rivers and trundled alongside towering white cliffs covered in foliage. We then made our way to Kota Bharu, a small town with not all that much to do, where we stayed for the night before travelling to the Perhentian Islands. These were absolute paradise with white long beaches, waving palm trees and crystal clear sea that was as warm as a bath...sometimes too warm to be as cooling and refreshing as you needed after lying baking on the beach (even under the sun umbrella it was too hot!) In July 2009, me and my friend Jodie decide to run from hustle bustle of Kuala Lumpur. Traffic jammed, tonned of work, late night stay in office really make us sick. So we decide for a short visit to Pulau Perhentian and while i take this chances to polish my skill in diving. After make deal with our friend who live in Perhentian Besar and work as a diving instructor in Fauna reef, again we got complimentary rooms . We arrived jetty Kuala Besut early morning, Abang Juma welcome us with a big smile. He is very helpful person. From Bali to Perhentian Besar, welcome to our last discovery trip we did the last 3 days. We first made a short stop in Saigon to drop Leslie. Ma'ri and I are now together for few days enjoying some romantic times together. Perhentians Islands are another dive spot in Asia. This time we are hitting Malaysia. And it's finally the 20th country in which I'm diving. Will make sure I jump to 30 countries soon or later! Perhentians are actually two main islands, Kecil and Besar or also know as the Small Island and the Big Island ( very original!!). We are staying on the Big Island. Suddenly our surroundings changed. One minute we were sat waiting for the mini bus to pick us up, surrounded by mountains, forest and a cool morning mist... the next being thrown out of our seats by the 2 metre waves on a speedboat to a desert island. The speedboat from Kuala besut to Kuala besar took us an hour and the guys in the port initially decided that due to the storms (it was peeing it down) there would be no more boats for the rest of the day.
