Upon arrival in center of Sandakan town, I check in to Sandakan Harbour Sq BnB, that cost me RM40 for 2 night. Since I dont have any specific plan in Sandakan, besides to see some wildlife but the package price is too expensive for me that travelling alone. Backup plan needed I went to Agnes Keith house ( American author who wrote a book ' Land below wind'). Where I can see old picture and a bit history about Sandakan town during World War 2. I share dorm with other travellers from Sweden, Japan and couple from England. 5/10/2010 - I catch early morning public bus to Batu ... read more

Asia » Indonesia » Bali » Legian May 20th 2010

After a long journey from Jogjakarta, that take about 16hrs, I arrived in Denpasar at 8am, the ride was fun. I met Andre who work in Bali and frequently travel within Bali to Jogja, his family live in Jogja. He work as a security guard almost 5 years. I salute the bus driver who only stop twice along the way. First, when we stop for our dinner, second while we need to cross the sea from Banyuwangi ( Java land ) to Gili Manuk ( Bali land ) by using ferry. Pay only RP20,000 for my motorbike ride from Denpasar to Legian. As I know that 90% population in Bali are into tourism field. They can offer you lodging, transportation, tours or everything about tourism. This men offer to send me to Karangasem where the ... read more

Asia » Indonesia » Java » Yogyakarta May 16th 2010

I read 1 of vagabonding article by Lavinia Spalding, she wrote a phrase " Don't think about it too much. Don't make pro and con lists. Pro and con lists are nothing but trouble. If you think about it too much, you'll just end up staying home and then someday you'll be telling your grandchildren ". This will motivate me since I just decide to quit my job and find out what world can offer me from now. Next destination, I'm heading to Jogjakarta, lack of time do to research, so I just go with a flow. I hope there's not much different between Jakarta and Jogjakarta, because I have been to Jakarta before. Landed at 11am, I catch Trans Jogja ( very efficient and reliable public transport ) that only cost Rp3,000 to any ... read more

We leave at 9am, from Siem Reap, the bus rides just similar with the one i rides from Phnom Penh. It took 5hrs to reach Poipet border. From far, the traffic jammed is already bad, we arrived Khao San road at 7pm, and start looking for guesthouse, we get help from another traveller from French, i can't recalled his name, he very familiar with this place, since he's married with Thailand girl and just give birth his son.
