Dear family and friends. I saw CNN this morning which showed Pres Obama having a beer summit with the Harvard professor and the policeman. I took the opportunity to explain to my audience what was happening. Every here is quite impressed with Pres Obama. America can be quite proud of our President. I am. No matter Dem or Repub please know that the beer summit was felt all around the world. I have been explaining how the US had its own serious race issues not that long ago. Everyone hangs on my every word. This is not like America. That is quite clear. Be proud of our country no matter what position you may find yourself. If someone wants to forward this to the White House that is ok with me. OK so I am still ... read more

Hello all. While I still have power thought I'd send one more quick note: I Love You ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have read all comments, emails and everything else that I've recvd. Keep 'em coming. Hope all is rolling smoothly at CVS Caremark. Wait till I show you the photos of the pharmacy in Kamina. Not your average drug store. Nevertheless, yes I'm fine. Just majorly discouraged at the passport delay. Doesn't appear to be an end in sight other than tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. I don't have a lot of photos to share because of the time it takes to download. I'll make a power point or something when I get home. Gotta go now. Peace and Love to all. I Love You Rachel! Keith. Dear friends and family. As yesterday began with elation at a call from the US Embassy, it ended once again in frustration and sadness after being told to come back tomorrow. Well, today is tomorrow, and I don't know if I have many more tomorrows in me. ................................................................................................................................................................ On top of all that, I am being cursed by someone who lives and works here named Mom Theresa Cox. Mom Theresa, I appreciate what you are saying, but please Madam, do not curse my family. I am attempting to bring hope and a future to this child from an orphanage. If that is not sufficiently positive enough for you, Mom Theresa, then so be it. Of course you do not know this, but I already have one son who died from complications of a traffic accident, so ... read more

Dear friends and family, I am moved to tears after reading all your your latest comments. Brenda, keep lighting candles. Larry, get up off your knees, God can hear you from a sitting position. Daniel Kreepy Doll Baxter, thank you for the Macbeth quotation; that was driving me as nuts as him! Every one else, thank you thank you thank you. I am trying to stay positive and praying that God can soften the hearts of the individuals I am dealing with, but as yet, no such luck. I go to the passport office again today at noon my time. I will try to accept all entries, (thanks Johnny for that heads up) but not sure how much time it will take on this antiquated system. I can hear the squirrels on the treadmill every time ... read more
