Sat here as it's raining outside with my leg up after my knee operation. I've had to delay my flight to make sure my knee heals ok and there's no infection. All being well I'll be flying out to Vanvouver the middle of August. I'll have time to travel around, maybe work a little, before starting my snowboard instructors quali on 1st December... can't wait now... I can't believe how quickly it's come around. ... read more

Home to LondonNicole H Things I have learned about London so far... 1. It is probably the most complicated place I have been in my WHOLE life 2. Just because the people here speak English doesnt mean you can understand them 3. The pidgeons here tend to waddle and run they dont fly, which is really strange because you just walk along with them trotting along beside you 4. People at information booths have no information however, they will call you love and darling 5. I will never ever ever travel alone again ever! 6. London is very expensive, you think things are cheap but then you think about how much it is in dollars and it is very expensive 7. Luggage is very heavy when you have to tote it around the streets of London ... read more

London Part I Monday, June 18- We were up at the crack of dawn to go to London. We had to be packed and ready to go at 7. So that meant that we had to wake up extra early to stuff all of our belongings into our bags. Our driver arrived promptly at seven and we were off to our next plane ride. We arrived at the airport and checked in with British Airways. Next thing I knew there was a team of very attractive college guys walking by. They were by far the best Paris had to offer. After getting a good helping of eye candy we had to wait in line to go through customs. After that we went through the security check and let me tell you, I didn’t feel very ... read more

Today we went to Parliament. I have been craving Starbucks for day so I decided that I could go get my $7 frappachino. So far Parliament has been one of the best tours we have been on. I don't really know what was so neat about it seeing as I really don't like politics. The building was incredible, it wasn't entirely old as it was rebuilt after it was mostly burned by a fire. We got to tour the rooms where the Queen gets ready when she opens up Parliament. Afterwards we had our last class for a month. We have to write a few papers which I am not too excited about. I was under the impression that we had to do almost no work for the class and turns out that is not the ... read more

Well hello again, Yes it has been a while. I have 2 excuses. Firstly I am lacking interesting material to write about... and secondly I have been lazy. (Tyson too) Anyways last time I wrote was just after our trip to Brighton. Since then we have been working hard but have also had 3 more days off together. The first one we had we decided to head into London and have another wander around. We visited the museums wandered aimlessly around for a few hours, climbed 311 stairs to the top of the monument tour, slept in Hyde Park (well Tyson did). Ok back to the stairs. As we were wandering around aimlessly we came across the monument tower (which we had seen before from the big bus) So you can pay 2GBP to climb ... read more

Hiiiiii. Sorry about the long wait between entries, but I've been busy since Alex arrived and it's hard to find time to write a long entry. But this entry shall be long. With many photos! Hooray! I'm gonna start from last Saturday which is when Alex arrived, because, to be honest, I can't actually remember what I did the week before. It's not that I didn't do exciting things, I just have a bad memory. Actually I can remember one thing I did, which we were meant to be saving for the night Alex arrived, but then she got stuck in Singapore, we went and had dinner during PIE WEEK. A pub just outside of Manchester held Traditional Pie Week last week so of course we had to attend. Our pies were bloody enormous too, ... read more

Hiya! Last night I went to see Pirates of the Carribean at Leicester Sq. I decided to head in early to go to a photography museum which was supposed to show photography from the early days as well as modern works. So I allowed an extra 2 hours so I could spend a decent amount of time there before I had to meet Nick Berry. So I arrived at Leicester Sq and got a little lost trying to find the museum... and then I found it - the reason I couldn't find it was because I was looking for a proper museum. The photography museum consisted of 2 rooms and a corridor.... it took me all of 5 mins to look at all the work and I saw NO historical work - just student work... total ... read more
