Any suggestions on different types of Blackpool accommodations.
13 years ago, November 19th 2010 No: 1 Msg: #123305
Hi

I need to submit a project on Blackpool hotels which delineates the different types of accommodation which the travellers to Blackpool can book. Can anyone help with some suggestions for not only hotels but on project too. Basically I need to make an application which can get the bookings done for the traveller.
Please help me get good grades.

Thanks in advance!!! Reply to this

How exactly is this related to you booking conference facilities in London for 300 people last week?

Hello Hookzara 😊

We get a bit twitchy about any posting that may have an agenda associated with it. Would you tell us a little about what you are doing.

It is Ok with us, if a student or individual wants to ask us questions for student projects or other research. The sort of thing that would not be OK would be if somebody from a hotel or a company posts a question, and then somebody from the same company answers it by naming the company as a suggestion. SPAM is a huge nuisance on internet sites, so blame the spammers for the interrogation we are putting you through. 😉

Hi Rat on the Road

Well, my brother used the forum as he required help for his project. I think we should make different IDs to rule out the perplexities here.

Anyways!!

See if you can help this time, next time I think it will be better if he posts through his ID. :P Reply to this

Hi

That explains it then! Glad we cleared that up!

It would probably be a good idea to have separate IDs. As Mell said, we are a bit jumpy about spam, and two posts with completely different origins - one as a student and one as a business - can make us a little suspicious!

BTW, We are moderators Hookzara and spend a lot of time removing SPAM. What I hate most about the spammers is that they cause situations like this where more genuine people get caught in the middle of our annoyance at the spammers who cause the real nuisance. The other moderators will also likely list that the amount of time they spend removing spam is a huge nuisance, because they would rather be getting on with the travel chat understandably. 😊

About the hotels: Most of us here are budget travellers, so know more about that end of the market. If you look on your profile page near the top right you will see links to a TravelBlogs Hotel and Hostel partners. They would be the types of places that most backpackers and midrange travellers who frequent TravelBlog would stay in. The hostels are for the rock bottom and often very young travellers, but old ones like I am stay in them too. Do a search for Blackpool in each and a list of the ones in Blackpool will come up.

For the fancier hotels of Blackpool: This might not be the site to find information about those. A very small percentage of TravelBlog members would be in that market.

There would probably also be camping grounds in Blackpool.

When you say you have to make an application, do you mean you have to write a computer program? If so, you could probably just pick one of the accomodation types, and make something similiar to what TravelBlog accomodation partners have on their sites.
