Hello Bahamas! Disembarked for a short while Not much to see, do. Today’s fourth and final port of call is in Nassau, Bahamas. Another day at Sea Lots of things to see and do But I feel lazy. Before going to bed last night I had all of these great ideas of what to see and do on our day at sea today. Another Sea Day Lots of things to see and do. But I feel lazy! Spare some change for an old buccaneer? haha I can't believe that it is Friday already. Where has the week gone? We've already made three ports of call in the last three days...Puerto Rico, St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Today is a full day at sea where there are lots of activities and stuff planned BUT I'm feeling real lazy and don't particularly feel all that enthusiastic to partake in any real activities. Up at crack of dawn Coral World and Island Drive Stinking hot outside! Today’s port of call is to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. We had to clear US immigration by 7:15AM so we were up and ready by 6:45AM. It’s amazing that the three of us were up and at ‘em and ready to go on time. Pretty impressive since the last few days we’ve been such slow and lazy bums. The immigration process was quite quick and painless. Green and blue waters Went fishing in St. Maarten Caught some fish…release. Today’s port of call is Philipsburg, St. Maarten. We started our morning by eating. Did you expect me to say that we started off the day by jogging 3 miles on the deck? Haha So we started with a buffet breakfast at the Windjammer. Having breakfast in the Windjammer always reminds me that I love me the breakfast! They have such a wide selection starting with a bunch of different fruit like cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, grapes, apples and bananas. True touristy feel Touring Puerto Rico Ricky Martin’s Home. Our ship, the Explorer of the Seas pulled into San Juan Puerto Rico in the early afternoon and we were able to disembark around 2PM. So once again I had myself a lazy start of a morning with two sleepyheads as cabin mates. Mind you, I too was being lazy and was so lazy I only contemplated taking a trip outside of our cabin to check out the deck…I have the rest of the week to do that! Today is at sea. Eating, eating, more eating. The Caribbean.... Well, less than 24 hours on my cruising odyssey and I'm having a fabulous time with my sister Laura and her two friends Alice and Christie. Christie works here on the Explorer of the Seas and has been giving us better than STAR treatment...Thank you Christie! Oh, where to start. Train to the airport Delayed flight to Miami I’m on a cruise ship! It’s finally cruise time! Anita was nice to get up early and drop me off at the local Marta station so that I could catch the next train south towards the airport. I waited about 15 minutes for a train to come but I had plenty of time to get myself to the airport so I wasn’t going to be time crunched. It is Saturday Quiet at the Shopping Mall Too hot for a hike. Anita got up bright and early for half marathon training. She’s aiming to run a half marathon in November. It’s too bad I won’t be in Atlanta at that time to cheer her on. I won’t be here in person but I will be here in spirit. :) These last couple of days I just can’t seem to sleep in for some reason. I made some waffles Topped with ice cream and some fruit Fun to be cooking. I woke up early and said goodbye to Anita as she headed off to work. Hmm, I don’t feel like going back to sleep yet I don’t feel like doing anything in particular. So I just lazed about on the sofa watching the morning TV programs. Most of the coverage is on Hurricane Katrina that just ripped through New Orleans. It was really kind of depressing to watch after a while.
