Quaint city of Bath Amazing architecture A stop in Lacock. Pretty easy going day today since I went from London to Bath when I was on the “Full Monty” tour up to Scotland a few weeks ago. We had a NOON time start but had to check out by 10AM. So today we basically drove from Bath to the town of Lacock which is less than 30 minutes away. Limited sleep time. Discover the Roman Baths. Naptime on the bus! Today is the last day of my four day tour through Cornwall. It really hit me this afternoon that I'm getting a little burned out with all of the bus tours of the last couple of weeks. King Arthur's Birthplace Re-enactment on the hill. Acting needs some work! Not a very big night out last night. 95% of us were in bed by midnight. Only about a dozen of us made it out last night. As all group dynamics go, especially when we don't really know one another all that well, it took forever to make a decision on where to go. Going to Land's End Looking for some stacked stones Are we there yet Cai? Morning start at 8:30 seems a bit late to me now but at least I can take my time getting ready in the morning. One good thing about this hostel is that they always provide breakfast. Big stones at Stonehenge Homity pie is yummy Big break in Launceton. Wow, less than 12 hours in my hostel here in London and I’m back at the Haggis office ready to take off on another four day/three night tour of Cornwall. I should have just slept on the sidewalk last night so as to save £15. haha We will see stuff like Newquay, Land’s End, Stonehenge and Bath again. Robin Hood Country Going to Sherwood Forest Hope we don’t get robbed. We started the day off with a really good English breakfast of sausage, bacon, beans, eggs, toast and cereal. We’ll basically have two major stops today. Our first stop will be at Sherwood Forest this morning. Our second stop will be in Stratford-Upon-Avon this afternoon before we head into London this evening. On way to London Lots of motorway driving Which equals naptime. Quiet evening last night. It was spent as predicted doing some laundry. I chatted with a few of my roomies. There was a woman from LA. She’s a school teacher and this is her second trip to Scotland. Then there was Maria from Australia. Chilly, wet & damp. Free day in Edinburgh. A museum day. It's my last day here in Scotland. I've really enjoyed the past week here in Scotland. The Scottish Highlands are just gorgeous. Unfortunately my second time round in Edinburgh and it is wet and damp. It’s the total opposite of the hot and sunny weather of just one week ago. So I decided to take it easy today. Six days on the bus Lots of castles and battles History galore! We’ve been on the road about an hour already. We stopped once for a swing swing bridge because a boat wanted to pass through. Then we briefly stopped at a well - the Seven Headed Well. Now we’re stopped in a traffic jam because of an accident. Only 10 minutes and now it is a bathroom break before we start heading off again, perhaps on another walkabout or hike?? Yup, a short walk to a cemetery. Went to Clava Cairns Shannon went into the clef Didn’t go to the past. It was a wild night out at the bar yesterday.
