Wet and rainy day. A little cool and chilly. Gotta bundle up! Yet another relaxing day for me here in Canberra today since the weather is all cold and wet. Cough, cough all night long. First time sick in six months time. It's only a cold. Big sleep in! But it's good because I'm slowly coming under the weather. Yuppers. I’ve woken up three days in a row with a sore throat and today a cough has developed. No worries though cuz I made a quick trip to the chemist and hopefully the meds I picked up with kick in soon enough! I had a pretty relaxing day today. Off to Canberra "Family" off to Sydney I'll go on Sunday. We headed off a little early this morning so that we could pick up some flowers and a card for Lucy. Frigging freezing night. Took all night to get cozy. We go to snow now. I can't believe that I went to bed last night with frozen buttocks! lol Yes, it was super cold out last night! I woke up with a sore throat this morning but it only lasted about 1/2 hour. Guess I was breathing through my mouth last night or something. Or fear among fears...I'm getting sick?!? Greasy fish and chips. A long day ahead of us. Feeling real bloated. A jam packed day lies ahead of us today. First up, was a series of small walks. We arrived at Tarra Bulga National Park this morning for a couple of walks. We walked up to the suspension bridge. It was a pretty boring suspension bridge. Onward to Sydney Four days. Stop in Canberra. Full bus of 18. Well, this is my last leg of my bus journey in Australia - Melbourne to Sydney. I will be making a four day stopover in the capital, Canberra and stay with John and Annie and hopefully meet up with Stacey who used to be the receptionist where I worked. Wonderful breakfast Pancakes, ice cream and syrup. Yummy for tummy! We had an entertaining time last night. The five of us piled into Yasmine's car and headed into town. Our first stop was at the pub where Han's friend was having a going away bash and also her friend's band was playing for the event. We got there before the band was up so we grabbed some drinks and headed to the second floor to sit on the couches and chill. Bus to Bendigo Walkabout town and baking Goldmines in Han's Yard I didn't have the best sleep last night since there were a couple of coughers in my room and next door - talk about paper thin walls! Plus the door to the "wing" where my room is situated was super squeaky and creaking all night and it kept slamming when people passed through. Wet, rainy Melbourne Relaxing day. Big lie in. Nice Art Gallery. Not much to report on today...I mean nothing too exciting. Basically I picked up my train tickets and went to the Art Gallery. Oh yeah and I happened to pass through Chinatown so I picked up yummy pastries for lunch. Gotta love those bo lo bow and hot dog buns! And yes, an egg tart too. Last day in WA Everybody is at work Quiet day at home. Today is my last day in Perth and I have a few things to do like catch up on my blog, pack my bags, burn photos to CD (I think I have 1GB to transfer!), knit a baby toque/beanie for Sarah's friend who will be having twins shortly, and of course eat. haha I took it pretty easy and did a little knitting and watched a bit of morning television while having a bowl of cereal.
