Way back to London Ryanair. One Euro flight. A no-frills airline. Conny had to leave early this morning to catch a flight to Munich for work. So I said my goodbyes to her last night. All day speed reading And a wander about town Did some laundry too. It was another work day for Reimar and Conny. I had my work cut out for me too. On my to-do list…laundry and reading! Bit of a kink in the plan since the laundry room was being used by the staff and wouldn’t be free until about 5PM. No worries. Delicious Breakfast Cake, coffee at 3PM Delicious Dinner! Raining again! Tour de Stuttgart has been postponed until further notice. But there will be plenty of food to eat. Breakfast call was at 8:30. Lots of meats, cheeses and spreads to be eaten on/with a variety of breads. Reimar’s parents are quite the busy ones in the kitchen making their own jams, paté and cheese! Leisurely breakfast Mmm, eating is my hobby! Roadtrip to Schorndorf. After a nice, large and leisurely breakfast on the patio, the three of us set out in Conny’s convertible BMW towards Heidlberg. Riding in a convertible with the top down on the autobahn sure make you think, “Why’d I bother combing my hair this morning?” Since the sun was shining it was a nice ride. And thankfully I didn’t have too many knots to deal with - hmm, should I just leave them and start dreadlocks? A day to myself Reading, shopping and watching Great day in the sun. Today is my first full day in Frankfurt. Reimar and Conny had to go to work today so I was left to my own devices. I wanted to get up and at least have breakfast with them but I slept like a log and didn’t even hear them! Another train ride I´m off to Frankfurt today Bye Bye Munich This’ll be just a short entry to say hello. I can't believe that I have been in Germany for about a week now. Apparently an announcement just came on telling us the train is 15 minutes late…didn’t notice. No I didn’t translate that from German. They actually made an announcement in English as well. Lol I’ll lock my stuff up for a few hours at the train station since Reimar is working ‘til 6:30 so I’ll explore for a bit. Wow the sun is out! Relax at the Beer Garden Glockenspiel not great. Greetings from Munich! I can’t believe the sun was actually shining this morning when I got up. Great to see since it has been pretty grey most of the time here in Germany so far. The rain of the last couple of days really has made the weather seem like it is autumn. I was fortunate enough to wake up early enough to b e able to have some breakfast and chat with Anne’s parents before heading to the train station.
