Last day in Ottawa Walked over to Gatineau Took lots of pictures. Another cool one Went to the Museum of Civilization. Kish asked if it would be okay if she could join me for the day. Plan B, it's raining Parliament and museums My legs are all wet. As forecasted by the weather people the rains are here today. But I didn't let that stop me from going out and seeing some of the sights of Ottawa. Good thing for me most attractions in Ottawa are pretty close and are all walkable and the rains really aren't that heavy. First stop in the morning is to the Parliament Buildings and a guided tour. I've landed in Jail! The old jail is a hostel Haunted? I don't know. As predicted, it was a pretty ho hum evening. I was on the internet for a bit and they had a special of buy one hour, get one free so I was on there for a couple of hours which gave me a chance to make a couple of blog entries and to answer a few emails and chat online as well. The rain is sprinkling My umbrella is mangles Walking in the rain. As predicted by weather.com, the rains started to fall overnight. I didn't realize how mangled my umbrella got from when I foolishly opened it on that gusty, rainy day last Sunday. So I ended up tossing my Edinburgh green plaid umbrella into the bin. But that's okay. I have my water resistant jacket and toque to keep me warmish and hopefully dry! Luckily the rain is not coming down too hard and I shouldn't be out in the rain for too long. Meeting an old friend Four years since seeing Dana I'm super psyched up! Well, I've made plans to meet up with Dana today and I'll finally be able to meet Eddy. So it's gonna be an exciting day today especially since the weather is nice and sunny. The plan is to check out Old Montréal l and go from there. Walk up Mont Royal Sun shines and the air is crisp Lovely views up there. I saw the sun peeking through the windows and was excited to see that the nice weather is still with us. It's a perfect day to go for a nice uphill trek to Mont Royal. I believe it is one of the must see places when in Montreal. My Korean roommate kept pushing bagels on me. Off to Montréal The weather has cleared up some Excellent! Allons! Trip to the "Musee" I escaped outside the walls! Beautiful City! The day started out with some gray weather that surprisingly turned sunny for a little bit. So I decided to take a little walk around the streets outside of the Old Walled City of Québec towards the Musee du Québec in the Western part of the City near the infamous battlefields where Wolfe and Montcalm died in I think the 1700's sometime. All aboard L'Ocean! Cross CAnada train trip starts Quebec City first. I stayed at the hostel right up until check out since I didn't have any last minute errands to run. Well except to buy some snacks for the train but that could wait since the grocery store is right beside the train station. So I checked out. Got my $5 key deposit back and was on my way to the train station to check in one of my bags.
