Lodging demand is heaviest, and prices highest, during March and May to September in the northern part of the state, and October to April in the southern part
Theme parks are most crowded in March, June to August, late November, and late December. They are least crowded in early November, early December, January, and early February
Except near Miami, budget hotels are ubiquitous
The state has good transport connections, although a car is useful for rural areas
Sun protection is required year round
Mosquitoes are merciless outside major cities
