What is the deal with Trip Advisor letting members post rude comments when they claim to be a friendly site?

The Gatlinburg,TN forum on Trip Advisor has some of the rudest people ive seen. I dont understand why Trip Advisor allows cabins owners that have their property listed with VRBO but yet they can send private messages and self premote their cabins to people and in the rules it states you cant self premote.They are letting these people take away business from area hotels,motels,inns. etc. But when a hotel gets on there they are quickly removed and reported.
Has anyone else noticed this? Reply to this

Please would you post all comments about Trip Advisor, in the Trip Advisor thread in the General Forum. We lock or delete all the other threads about Trip Adivsor, because there are so many of them.
