Nominating Claudonwheels... a nomad in the true sense of the word (albeit a very modern day one). Very new to TB - only 9 blogs in, but I'm already hooked. As well as sharing his current adventures, Claudio is planning on writing up retrospectives of past travels.

And he travels with dogs 😊 Reply to this

I second the nomination for TimoSkaggs. The expat element of his blogs is very interesting. Reply to this

I have been following jawilso since she was in Rome on her first RTW in 2009. She intrigued me...a Walmart associate from the Midwest who succumbed to wanderlust and took that brave first step. After a year back home she moved to Australia for a year on a work/holiday visa and managed to see much of the country and even New Zealand. She is now taking the scenic route home through Southeast Asia and China, so although I am very tardy in nominating her as Blogger of the Week, she still has a few blogs left in her journey worth reading. And for someone like her, as soon as she saves up some money, she'll be on the road again. Reply to this

In response to: Msg #159626 I had the pleasure of welcoming Claudonwheels as Bloggers a couple weeks ago. I normally don't post a welcome comment when accepting new bloggers, but did so in this case as they intended to do retrospectives on past trips, something I have encouraged TBers to do...otherwise, what else is there to do between trips! So it is also with pleasure that I second the nomination. Reply to this

Have just discovered a new blogger, Brons
He has been blogging for a while and has been to lots of interesting places. I think he'd be a great blogger of the week.

Hi, we would like to nominate povertyjetset, who is travelling through Turkey at the moment. Jon includes very good and useful information on transport, food and local culture. He also has lovely photos! Reply to this

Hello everyone, I discovered a very funny blogger this morning while waiting for the ferry to take us to the next island.

I would like to nominate Sjackz for blogger of the week. The prose is injected with humor and the ability to turn that humor on herself. The photos are wonderful and I look forward to reading the next installment.

I was reading the comments by others on Chris and Amy's last blog from Machu Pichu, and ran across AnnaW travels. I vaguely remembered her from trolling through the bloggers, so clicked on her portrait page. There on the right side where rated pictures are posted were some great sunset pictures that I had seen on the Front page while logging in. By the time I went from the Control Panel to the Front page the picture had changed and I thought I had lost it forever...but here it was. So I recommend AnnaW travels as Blogger of the Week for her fantastic photography...and her blogs are great too! Reply to this

kiwisandcurries has about 3 moths left of a 1 year "bucket list" journey. I like the way she seems to take a genuine interest in the places she visits and people she meets along the way. Reply to this

Our list is getting short due to lack of seconds on the above nominations. So I will do my part. I second:
brons
povertyjetset
kiwisandcurries

I would second Sjackz, but she has only written one blog; not enough for me to judge.

And finally, I looked through all those I follow to see if there were any that I hadn't nominated before...none who were still traveling. So I started to look through our New Bloggers. I nominate powerquilter, a couple from Auckland about my age, who despite their nom de plum really like food...presently eating their way across France. Let's go with them for now. Reply to this

OK. I can't help myself. I nominate ChanelleInRome, who I accepted as a New Blogger recently. I almost suspected her because of the pictures in the first blog. She has just arrived in Italy to be an au pair for some Italian kids, and has an interesting way of expressing herself. Reply to this

Having a picture up for recommendation in this weeks PoW, I've been introduced to blogger Yeti who has been a member since April 2006.

Definitely worth a BoW recommendation me thinks 😊 Reply to this

Yeti gets a second from me - some great entries and photos. I'm holding off from following them to try and help keep them eligible for the awards :-) Reply to this
