This is a great idea to see other plans 😊 Two years and never notices it!

For me my next trip is on the 28th of Sept, moving to Lithuania to be with my girlfriend who I met whilst backpacking a year ago, last week we booked to go to Paris for New Years and have five days there and also last week we book flights to India for a month in January. Cant wait!

It is great to see others plans... Reply to this

My destinations in the next year remain within the US. As a grad student, money is hard to come by, which means foreign travel is too. Fortunately, there is still plenty to see in the US of A, so here are my tentative plans for the coming year:

Oct 1-5: Miami, FL
Oct 9-12: New York City, NY
Oct 23-25: New York City, NY (Part Deux)
November 2009: Broken Bow State Park, OK (hiking trip)
30 December 2009 - 3 January 2010: Denver, CO
January 2010: Atlanta, GA (conference)
March 2010: Washington, DC; Virginia Beach, VA; Shenandoah National Park; Mammoth Cave National Park (Spring Break)
June 2010: Boston, MA; Cape Cod; Martha's Vineyard; Nantucket (10-day trip)
June 2010: Boulder, CO; Rocky Mountain National Park (weekend part of a conference)
July 2010: Grand Canyon National Park; Zion National Park; Bryce Canyon National Park; Canyonlands National Park; Arches National Park; Capitol Reef National Park (10-day hiking trip)

Cool thread. Hope everyone has a great time on their respective travels. Reply to this

I am going to Dublin, Ireland, for a few days in December. I love Christmas time in Dublin. Shopping is hell at that time, but the bars, restaurants cafes are great because people are celebrating. It starts getting really nice in December in the cafes etc. Reply to this

That sounds good! What does it add up to after tax? Which airline? If they have any great bargains from where I am, I might check out Oslo too, if I can get enough time off. Reply to this

I'm off skiing over New Years in France, and then other people's weddings are dictating my travel plans for the rest of the year. Would have loved to go to New York though 😊 Reply to this

I am still constructing my 9 week journey next year, and will definitely include the Middle East (Isreal and the West Bank) and both Ethiopia and Kenya. I am also intending to include Djibouti and the north-western part of Somalia (Somaliland). Usually this is a safe area, but the release of an Australian photojournalist in Somalia recently due to a ransom being paid is making me reconsider. If Australians (like me) are now seen as a good way to extract cash in that part of the world - then the risk now may be too great. Reply to this

I'm stopping in Cairo for 4 days in June en route to South Africa. I'm staying down there until July 13th for the World Cup and I'm super excited!!!

Due to cheap airfare, I'm also toying with the idea of doing a week in Guatemala or Peru maybe in February. Reply to this
