Vi tok bussen merket "TTU/Centro" for aa ... read more

We saw the falls at their worst from both sides and every angle but it was still one of the most impressive sights we´ve ever seen and worth every moment of our rubbish journey! The journey from La Paz took 24 hours by PLANE. We flew La Paz to Cochabamba to Santa Cruz to Sao paulo with a total of 4 hours delays. Then 8 hours at Sao paulo turned into twelve and we finally arrived at 4am after leaving the previous morning at 5 am and a night on the airport floor! When we finally arrived at hostel Bambu shattered and smelly they had double booked the room after a mistake with Tom Finley and Tom Dingley which left us needing to find somewhere else. We were taken to 5 different hostels/hotels before we ... read more

Yippee we arrived!!!!! - 10hours later, but we slept like little babies!!! Can you believe it - the lowest water level in 30 years!!! Just our luck!!! The falls are pretty amazing though as you can see. Tonight we are going out for a night on Foz!!! The walk through the national park to the falls, was really nice, however these little raccoon type things were a bit aggressive and wanted all your food - so keep it hidden. We ended up at an all you can eat Pizza place for dinner - and yes kate actually enjoyed it. But can you believe after our fill of ´normal´pizza, the dessert pizza came out - white chocolate, milk chocolate, fruit (jills favourite), and to top it all off (kates favourite) banana, cinnamon and syrup!!! Yummy, Kate thinks ... read more

After a lifelong 27 hour journey involving a ferry, taxi, bus and finally a coach we arrived in Foz do Iguazu. We were told by many people that if you travel to South America you must visit the waterfalls between Brazil and Argentina. So we did. As soon as we arrived it was clear that Iguazu doesn't really have much else to offer except the waterfalls so we were determined to get the tourist thing done and move on. We checked into a hostel and headed straight for the main attraction on a local bus to see the waterfalls from the Brazilian side. After a couple of hours walking around the park it felt like once you had seen one waterfall you had seen them all apart from when you get to the end and stare ... read more

ok so we were about to get on a night bus. we went to a town called curitiba which we were just using as a stop off point to get to the falls. we stayed there a night to break up the journey. we just went to the shopping mall to get food as it was sunday and most other places were shut, there we saw poseidan at the cinema thewn we went out for a few drinks. the next morning we had a day bus to iguassu early in the morning, which to catch we ended up having to wake up our guide which im sure is supposed to be the other way round!!! anyway the journey was very boring as there was nothing to do, kinda watched casper, but didn´t do much else but ... read more

Waterfalls n That Our second stop on our rather brief jaunt accross a little of the globe is the iguassu falls, which is apparently one of the 7 forgotten wonders of the natural world - which i must admit seems like a bit of an afterthought. The arrival here wasnt the greatest- as i think i mentioned in the last post, i thought that it would be a good idea to go out all night prior to coming here. Although i dont regret the night i have to admit that it made the flight hell, and i spent most of it drifting in and out of a rather uncomfortable sickly sleep. Which meant that innevitably once the hotel was reached a sleep rather than a wander of the town was top of the list of priorities. ... read more

After our wonderful flight on Iberia and a quick dinner, we awoke from an early night somewhat refreshed. In the whirlwind of Europe, we hadn´t given our South American plans much thought, and with Argentina still in the World Cup mix, several contingincies presented themselves. Thus, the first day in Argentina became somewhat about business and errands. However, we decided to walk from office to office in order to see the city better. Vendors of World Cup merchandise, wide boulevards, walking malls, large sculptures and monuments, even some sort of rally for transexuals - we got to see the central part of the city pretty well. After taking care of business, we headed to a nearby parrilla, url=http://travel2.nytimes.com/top/features/travel/destinations/centralandsouthamerica/argentina/buenosaires/restaurant_details.html?vid=1107942620130 El Desnivel (we´d already gone t... read more

Our trip to see the Iguassu falls was too dry and too wet. In that order. We decided to press on to Iguassu from Sao Paulo without stopping to see the city. As it turned out, we would have had a much better visit to the waterfalls if we had arrived a couple of days later after all. The weather was not on our side. It was still hot and sunny when we arrived in Foz, the town on the Brazilian side of the falls. We made it to a lovely rural hostel eventually. After getting off the bus in completely the wrong place and being picked up by the saddest taxi driver in the world. His car was falling apart - he had to open the boot for us with a coathanger. We were quite ... read more

Ylimaaraista rahaa taskuissaan pitavat (lue: ei koske reppureissaajia) voivat halutessaan maksaa 36 euroa per henkilo ja tuolloin he paasevat kahdella 225 hevosvoimaisella (lue: voimaa riittavasti elikkas jotakuinkin 450 hevosta) Yamahan peramoottorilla varustetulla kumiveneella nautiskelemaan er... read more
