A 46 hour bus journey took us from Potosi, in southern Bolivia, to Puerto Iguazu, in North Eastern Argentina. This involved 5 different bus journeys, and conditions noticeably improved once we crossed the border into Argentina.... The roads were paved, the buses were luxurious sleeper affairs, with free coffee and Hollywood films shown in English, and the food became noticeably more appetising... Eventually, after our gruelling journey, and in desperate need of a shower, we arrived at Puerto Iguazu, a pleasant, low rise town that sits on the junction of the Iguazu and Parana rivers, and is therefore bordered by both Paraguay and Brazil. But the main draw of the town are the waterfalls that decend the Iguazu river, 20 km away... Put quite simply, these falls are as an amazing sight I have ever witnessed... ... read more

Now, having purchased tickets for Easter Island, that weren´t due to leave Santiago for a week, we decided to take a little trip to Argentina, and see what all the fuss was about. From Santiago, it´s about a 7 hour bus ride, through the Andes! On our way to Mendoza we went at night, though, and didn´t see to much. Found a hotel fairly easily, it´s a small city with lots of touristy things going on, like wine tours and outdoorsy stuff, so lodging in all price ranges are available. After getting settled, the first thing on our agenda was to have a famous Argentine steak for lunch...score! Ok, this is what all the fuss is about. Super cheap, expertly prepared, and the best tasting steaks, ever. Suzy even liked it a lot. The best meal ... read more

Well tomorrow I leave Argentina for Chile, two months later then planned but it's all good, I guess you could say that I've adjusted well to the South American timetable and routine - or lack there of...   And why I say I went out with a bang is because today(my last day in Argentina) I went up the skihill here in Esquel called La Hoya and had the most spectacular day carving freshies ever! I found this section that no-one was hitting because it required a five minute tramp past the top of the last lift, and fell in love so spent the better part of the day there. And what made it even better was that towards the end of the day onother guy who spotted my pioneering acts and wanted a bit of the ... read more

Well Bariloche has the most fantastic Chocolate shops ever, and there are heaps of them! You pay top dollar but it's worth every penny. Oh yeah the skiing and the landscape here aren't too bad either I guess... :) I think the photo's look really dark on the computor for some reason but honestly the view from the top of the mountain is absolutely amazing. I met a cool couple from Jackson Hole - Wyoming in the States on the bus to Bariloche too so I spent a bit a bit of time riding with them on Saturday morning, and they've gone a bit further south to a town called Esquel now so I might go and catch up with them there before I head over to Chile. It's cool, I keep finding new excuses not to leave ... read more

Well I just got to Bariloche last night after three days in Las Leñas and it was absolutely beautiful there. It was lacking a bit of snow because it's still farely early in the season but the scenery was absolutly amazing. I should've taken more photos but was bit worried about carrying around my camera evrywhere while I'm doing Backflip360's around the place - you know how it is. And I met a couple of guys from England so spent most of the time with them, good dudes with similar ideas to me so we had a good time. And tomorrow I'm to try the slopes of Bariloche so hopefully that goes as well as Las Leñas. What a hard life I lead... oohohohohohoh siiiiiiiiiiii Las Leñas son buenisimas! falta un poco nieve pero todovia lo pase muy bien, es ... read more

Well I've been in San Rafael with Jimena and her friends for a few days now and it's been great. Jimena's gone back to Cordoba now because she's got to work so I've been staying at her friend Orlando's place. We went out to town for a dance both nights which was awesome, I didn't really got out too much when I was in Cordoba because I was such an efficiente student...hehehe, so it was nice to let my hair down again. Then today Orlando and Claudia, onther one of Jimenas friends took me to Valle Grande(big Vally) for a look, and it was indeed pretty big, and beautiful. Here's some photo's of Valle grande and tomorrow morning I'm off to Las Leñas for a bit of snowboarding. I can't wait. El vino aca es esquisito!!! lo ... read more

Well after just over two months here in Cordoba I'm finally going to drag myself away for a bit of snowboarding in Mendoza and Bariloche before I cross over into Chile in a week or so. It sux though because now I've got heaps of really good mates here and it was starting to feel like I had a home and a family here, and they told me that I do and always will so I'm pretty sure I'm going to take them up on that and return one day. Basically tonight I'm off to Mendoza to visit Fabricios' brother again for a day and then head to San Rafael where Jimena is visiting her parents on her study break. Then I'm off to a ski resort called Las Lenas for a dose of snow. yeehaa! ... read more

Well it finally came and we finally went. The rally was all last weekend and although we only got to see it one day and one night cos we partied a bit too much for my birthday it was still really good - plenty of sideways action, plenty of noise and even a couple of crashes right infont of us at night so I was happy. When we woke up in the later part of Saturday afternoon after my party we shot down to the Pilattis family weekend house which is like a hundred metres from where the cars were to go past the following morning. We had a great night making fires and doing other cool boys stuff before getting up really early to get a good posy for watching the cars. awesome weekend! For everyone who ... read more

Well today I turned 23 and so my mates put on a big party for me last night and it was awesome. first we had a humungous Asado for dinner(of course) then when it clocked over to midnight and was officially my birthday Gisela bought out the most delicious Chocolate cake ever that she had made that day and the party was on!!! after dancing and drinking ourselves silly untill about 5am someone came up with a great idea that we should probably do the right thing and go out somewhere, so we piled in Mauri's yellow chevy and went into town to rage it for another couple of hours. and tonight we're off to the WRC Rally of Agentina so all and all my birthday has been a winner!
