Ten of us took a wonderful trip to Iguassu Falls and the Argentina rain forest with a fascinating stay at Yacutinga Lodge. I arranged the trip with Adventure Life Vacations. We had wonderful guides on the trip who enhanced our visit with their history and nature knowledge of the area. We stayed at the Sheraton Iguassu that was adjacent to the Argentina side of the falls, where most of the falls are located. The hotel was comfortable and had a couple of nice restaurants. We also enjoyed the outdoor patio that provided a view of the falls. We spent one day hiking to all of the falls area, and then took the short boat ride across to Devil's Island, which allowed an up close view of the falls. We spent another day taking the jet boat ... read more

i made it to buenos aires. my plan is to leave for bariloche on friday. i am excited about moving on to cooler weather but will be bummed to say goodbye to this place. my days in bs. as. have been filled with so many experiences that they feel like weeks. not like sometimes at home where it is easy to get stuck in cruise control allowing time to slip away too quickly. the people have showed me lots of love. the rich and poor areas are both full of people happy to help you out with anything you need. luckily i have some pretty good guides. i love the art here. i have only been to a couple actual galleries but prefer all the outdoor market kind of art anyway. there was a cool graffiti ... read more

Truly a natural wonder of the world, I know of no falls more beautiful or impressive than those at Iguazú - read on and take a look at the pictures. aaaaah...paradise We flew from Cordoba to Iguazu and really struck gold from the moment we stepped off the plane. Iguazu has turned out to be pretty much our idea of paradise, great location, great hostel (with an amazing pool) and gorgeous weather. We set off to the park the morning after we arrived bright and early, we were able to catch a bus right outside the hostel. The entrance to the park has something of a theme park feel to it but in the least tacky way possible. They make walking through jungle easy and provide walkways right out to the falls but none of it ... read more

We decided to go to Córdoba because you could fly direct from there to Iguazú - and it was also in that general direction. Other reasons were: * We didn´t want to go back via Buenos Aires - seemed a bit silly for some reason * The bus journey was about 23 hours from Mendoza to Córdoba * The flight was only 300pesos, and if we went to Córdoba we would see an extra place too * Córdoba had a fierce reputation for being a better party city than BA and we didn´t get to party properly in BA So, the plan was laid after a bit of research and we arrived by bus to Córdoba early in the morning, and took a taxi to our pre-booked hostel. Unfortunately there had been some jiggery-pokery with the ... read more

Well it's a bit late but I haven't really been in computor-mood over the last couple of weeks, more enjoying the 30+degree temperatures, the pool, the food, the company and the parties... I was going to go to Buenos Aires for New Years and wait around there for my flight but after meeting up with all my old friends and getting settled back into their well suited lifestyle it was sort of a no brainer to decide to stick out the rest of my time in South America with the people I love the most on this Continent. We had an absolutely great christmas with all the cousins and uncles and aunties which was fantastic, 2days of non-stop partying, eating and swimming at Uncle Hugo's gorgeous house. Then we shot of to Santa Fe which is ... read more
