Dec 7th - Day 21 Bit of a monotonous drive today, with very little to see except mile after mile of empty road. Even the coast road actually ran inland and seemed to bypass any interesting coastal towns, not that there were many of thise. Just drove on and arrived quite early in Kingston, and somehow managed to lose my hotel. Turned back and found it okay. The town is really just a stopover town with a very small centre and not a lot happening. However it is the home to Larry the Lobster, a giant model of a lobster that adorns the side of the freeway and is probably Kingstons most photographed tourist attraction. The town also has a famous lighthouse abd a long jetty. As there wasn't much in town ate alone in the ... read more

After a good sleep, I dicided to explore the city. Needed to sort out my visa , go to the bank and use the internet. Unfortunatley immigration was closed for the afternoon, but manage to get the rest done. While looking for the liabary, I came across the South Australia museum, Which looked really interesting. So headed in for a look. Their main display at the moment was all about the ashes, which included the Ashes urn. So learned a bit about how the Ashes started. Shame England have lost the first two tests, let's hope they do better in the next one. The rest of the museum was filled with information about the Aborigines and the native animals of Australia. On thursday I headed back in to the city to get visa. Then caught a ... read more

Oh dear. The day was hotter, but Englands batting certainly wasn't. I dont need to say what happened but it has to have been one of the most depressing days of cricket for England ever - and I was there!!!!! ... read more

This Morning after a lie in. we headed out to Naracoorte Cave's. Where we enjoyed climbing through some very small and narrow holes, brilliant. Our guide set us a few challanges which we all had ago achieved. Ended up with a few bruises but it was worth it. On the way back out of the cave we were fortunate to see a bat, cool. After caving we were on to the final leg of our trip to Adelaide. Half way there we had our last stop off at a winery for abit of wine tasting. On the way in to Adelaide we cross the murray river by ferry and finally arrive about half five. Where i'm met by Uncle Chris. After dumping my stuff at his house. Uncle Chris took me on a grand tour of ... read more

Hi Folks! Today is the official beginning of summer in OZ! Yesterday it was 38 c in the shade! Luckily today is down to 26c. I'm staying with my sister's friend Tony in his sweet victorian house and we went to a great cricket function at the Adelaide Oval grounds last night and great speech from Beeefie (i.e Ian Botham). I am also very fortunate to have got complimentary tickets for the test match tomorrow in the Ozie enclosure. Penny (my friend and neightbour) is also here with Michael on a cricket tour of OZ. Off on Sunday to Perth, staying with Barbara, friend of Isa too from Bali days, and then home on Monday. Will arrive in London on 5 December.... read more

Ah, home and back to work to find that no, nothing really changes. (Which basically means now it's back to saving money to pay for the next trip- wherever that may be.) A big congratulations to all 8 of my friends who have added to their families in the time I have been away. Also, I hope everyone here at home and all those overseas and still travelling had a fantastic xmas and new year. Haven't had time to upload the funny engrish signs I found in China but for those interested you can also look up www.engrish.com for some more. Mostly funny, some just plain weird although i'm sure my chinese translations would be a lot worse. My favourite- that of course I didn't manage to get a photo of- was at the 'Big Wild ... read more
