Fraser Island After a good night’s sleep in the streets of Airlie Beach, we went shopping and hit for the road. We had quite some road to cover, so apart from stopping for a lookout point, we were more or less driving the whole day. We passed Mackay and Rockhampton fairly quickly, and stopped for the night at a very nice riverside rest area. Cooked in the dark and ate in the car before turning in. Still having quite some kilometers to cover, we started early in the morning, hitting the road in the direction of Bundaberg.
