Woo hoo back in Queensland its not just the sun that shines here in the sunshine state the people seem happier and brighter although as mad as a boxs of frogs. Brisbane just seem more relaxed and while wandering round we bum into that bloke with red hair but Philip doesnt care as we get another picture with him. Thats three in a week in three different states, I thought this blog was about pictures of me in various plaaces round the world not pictures of David Moyes who i think is close to getting a restrainning order! The evening is spent in the valley which is Brisbane livelist night spotand never has one small strip contained so many luntacis they are all bonkers and someone is ether proposing to you or asking to fight you ... read more

And so it begins, what I’m hoping will be an awesome year! The journey started Tuesday with our what felt like a luxury flight from Manchester to Abu Dhabi, courtesy of Brian the pilot!! There were literally 20 people on the giant plane so we got to kick back sprawl out and sleep the majority of the 7 hours and the rest of the time was spent playing with the musical headphones and trying to find out who stole my eye mask (I still suspect Jenn) Touching down in Abu Dhabi we went to grab what I can only describe and a cup of pure haven the coffee is the best I have ever had in the world 3 hours passed pretty quickly with the free internet we found!! Back on the plane to Singapore the ... read more

I left Byron Bay on a 3 day slog to get to Frasier Island which took me firstly to Surfers Paradise. This town was a cross between a cheesy European beach resort and a poor mans Las Vegas with horrible looking steak restaurants and seedy nightclubs all over the place. Thankfully we were only there for one night and chose to just get a good night sleep. The next day I headed back to Brisbane for one night where I said my goodbye to my mate John and had an interesting night in a club which as it was ladies night offered girls clothes for all the blokes to wear in order to get cheap drinks which certainly made for an interesting evening. We headed the next day to Noosa Heads which is a picturesque area ... read more

Well Good Afternoon Nearest and Dearest :) i have a few more pages in my note book which i think should be typed down on a few electrically formed blank white sheets for all you to read! I left you WEEKS ago having read about my walks from Bondi to Coogee, and my trip to the Aquarium! I left Surfside Hostel on the 2nd of June to travel about 20minutes to the central of Sydney and checked into Wake Up! one of Australia's number one backpackers Hostels. I was only staying there for the night and for 32$ it was comfy and simple! I shared the dorm with 9 other people one of which was Gregg Coull. He decided after only having three months to do his travels in to go with the better company -- ... read more

Way back at the beginning of March I arrived in Brisbane, my next stop after Noosa. I was only planning to stay in Brisbane for a few days since I still had a lot of ground to cover before arriving in Melbourne on the 21st. Funny how a few days can turn in to a week. First, I met some cool people at the hostel. The hostel actually had a good vibe for meeting people, unlike some of the hostels I’ve stayed at. So I made friends with a few people. Then the second day or so I was there it poured rain. It continued to pour rain for the next few days. In fact, the entire east coast was getting dumped on so I didn’t see much of a point in getting to the beach ... read more

Australia's crazy weather patterns has unleashed a slow-moving monsoon that is traveling up the east coast, which is the same direction that we are going  It has literally rained for almost 5 days straight…. We finally had to break down and buy some umbrellas because this weather is not going to let up. Despite that we did our best to still make the most of our stay in Brisbane. Last night we went to the bar that is attached to our hostel for trivia night. We did a very poor job representing America lol but we tried our best. The question that really got us was “What US state has the smallest population: a. North Dakota b. Vermont c. Alaska. We regrettably picked Alaska…. I’ll let you guys guess what the right answer is. Then ... read more

2/24/10 Our “bus” arrived to take us from Byron Bay to Brisbane but it was more of a van than the bus we had imagined the “Brisbane 2 Hour Shuttle” to be. Regardless, it was $25, went straight there and had air conditioning…all the essentials. Before getting on the bus I happened to notice a ridiculous event. At the bus station suddenly a big rig truck pulled up in the bus zone…I thought clearly he was confused, drunk or both. So the guy gets out, comes around to the other side, opens the door and proceeds to help out 2 young girls along with their luggage…these girls thought it was hilarious and were taking pictures in the truck, with the trucker, outside the truck, waving to the truck…now there are a few reasons that made me ... read more
