Joey && Mummy!
BlueMountains. Well Good Afternoon Nearest and Dearest 😊
i have a few more pages in my note book which i think should be typed down on a few electrically formed blank white sheets for all you to read!
I left you WEEKS ago having read about my walks from Bondi to Coogee, and my trip to the Aquarium!
I left Surfside Hostel on the 2nd of June to travel about 20minutes to the central of Sydney and checked into Wake Up! one of Australia's number one backpackers Hostels. I was only staying there for the night and for 32$ it was comfy and simple! I shared the dorm with 9 other people one of which was Gregg Coull. He decided after only having three months to do his travels in to go with the better company -- OzExperience,
they get you up the coast with friendly tour guides who know all the tricks of the trade and stop off at all the lovely picturesque places.
At 5:30am Thursday the 3rd we were up and showering for the day ahead;
Spot X. Also known as Arrawarra, this most beautiful place to go surfing possible!
Their own private beach meant that
Hunter Spider
BlueMountains. only the locals on site with permission where allowed onto the beach.
We had a nice tour of the camp site and in turn lead us to our dorms shacks.
The accommodation was terrible, if your a narly surfer dude who is pumped on the awesome waves dude and only really wants to rest their head for the night (thank god i was in that category) then i guess it was okay, but the only way i can describe it as is when you see a building site and in the corner where the security or the foreman hangs out THAT is what i was sleeping in!
With three bunk beds and the smell of damp everywhere i was just grateful the water trickling down the metal walls weren't seeping onto my bed and i have a dry nights sleep!
We woke up to the smell of lovely food cooking and a beautiful day to surf!
The sun was shining and i was ready to burn!
We gathered our things and checked out went and changed into our wetsuits and headed down to the beach. i stood up to my amazement and was actually not bad! my knees though got
the brunt of it and i suffered with surfers rash for a good couple of days! 😞 bad times!
We finished up the surf lesson and had some lunch at about midday we were back on the oz bus and ready for a trip to Byron Bay.
Anyone heading for surfing lessons MOJO all the way.
With everyone choosing the Greyhound i am now feeling a little lonely!
The people on the coach are friendly but i just don't seem to speak to them as all they want to do it go and get drunk. :/ no thanks!
We all checked into to hostel 'Holiday Village' really nice!
The dorms are in fours and about the size of a disabled toilet but clean and warm!
I felt so much better by 7pm as i went and met up with the guys, Sam, Georgie, Anna, Lynsey and Stephen! We all trooped down to Nomads where Vladd, Mike, Katie, Brian and Joe where staying 😊
Louise and Janine were already there aswell!
Peace has been restored!
We played trumps and had a good laugh until it was time to turn in!
I went back to my dorm and found that
only I was there, i feel asleep to be awoken to the girl above me nicely warming her vocal chords and rocking the bunk.
I could have been sick it was horrendous, no wonder there is a rule for NOBODY to have sex in dorms.
I was thankful for my lovely ipod and finally dropped back into sleep.
Getting up at 9am was okay i spoke quietly to the girl above! the gentleman she had last night had been and gone to god knows where.
Last night we all decided it would be a great idea to go for a long walk to the Lighthouse and stand on the most eastern point of Australia. It was EPIC, some fantastic sights but my legs have still not forgiven me to this day!! haha
It took us an hour and a half to walk up and only half an hour to walk down -- Gravity you bitch!!
Thankfully as we occupied our day with a trip to the lighthouse everybody on my bus had taken the tour to NimBim, notorious for the dope and hemp.
It's like a normal village with police station and all but with an expectation on being full
Rob
'I Have No Money.' of drugs they were surprised about how schtum it was all kept, it is still illegal of course!
Everyone came back with at least one bag of cookies though -- No thanks!
Byron is a lovely place, only five minutes from shops and the beach but on a cold day it would probably be the most boring place ever! another night here and then onto 'Surfers Paradise' WHOOP. :D
Up and out and its 6:30am :/ on the bus for 7:30 and driving along to Surfers. The sun is shining and i cannot wait to see the next stop.
Ive booked into a hostel called 'Sleepin Inn' and gonna share it with the guys finally get to watch an episode of Neighbors!
Get there for 9:30am and wake everyone up! Oh Yea!!
Went to the beach with everyone and found that the sky scrapping buildings make the shade so much colder so we headed back to the hostel! We finally watched TV in which to find a brand new Declan.... I'm impressed :D and home and away where Leah is getting married to a Rev! Nice!!
Found out that there are four massive theme parks near but they
Sam and Sophie.
'We Do have Money!' cost between 70-100$ not my budget so i pass on that one! I'm sure i can come back in the future!
17:44 and my journey to Brisbane has been booked!! Base hostel is my next stop.
The guys are up before me and 8:30am i eventually get outta bed!
On my defense, my bus doesn't arrive until 9:45am so i have plenty of time to get ready and stuff!
we all check out and set off for the transit center. I sit on my Todd whilst everyone has already set off on the greyhound! The bus gets here and everything is checked to go BONUS seat to myself!
Ipod and shades -- sleep it is!! ahaha
Two nights in Base Embassy was on the cards when i arrived in Brisbane. I found the hostel before the girls unfortunately they got a tad lost but they eventually arrived in a sweaty style!!
We found out that the embassy doesn't have a job center connected that is infact the central hostel!
We do have though some nice room mates! Sophie, Rob and another Sam!!
We decided after a day touring that we would book the next week in central and try and
abuse the job center for any job available!
After two nights in the embassy we finally settle into a three room dorm which is fantastic because it is huge and has somewhere in which i can place my clothes out and not live out of my suitcase!
We have signed up to do out RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate and can hopefully get a job somewhat faster knowing i can work in a bar Whoooo.
Missing everyone at home but the sickness has got less and i fell now that i can smile at tomorrow cos i know it will soon be time to pack up and come home!
Speak in another couple of weeks ahaha.
