Here we go again. Another entry to try to catch up before the Fatman arrives. Some of these were taken on a Mother's Day/Birthday trip to Sydney. Others were taken at Taronga Zoo as well as a few taken around Wollongong during Winter Holidays. The video is a holdover from our visit to South West Rocks on the Easter holiday. Hope you enjoy them. ... read more

About to leave for the airport in an hour after I eat something. This time I'll be going to Penang, Jakarta and then Bali for a yoga retreat. I't s going to be a very relaxing holiday, sort of the antidote to India which was just ssooooo jam packed full of India India India. Will be visiting family for the Penang and Jakarta bit which already puts me into the blase tourist category. And Bali will be mostly in a yoga retreat with Carole Bailargeon of Darwin Yoga Space. I actually first met her in my last trip to India. The plan? RELAXATION, massage, pedicures, spas, self nourishment, indulgence, hanging with family, and lots of focused yoga practice. This is the 3rd hoiday I've taken my yoga mat to....lucky little thing eh?! Please drop me a ... read more

Hey all, I know its been awhile since my last post, and i still dont have any pics uploaded. Sorry, but think of it as good things come to those who wait, ok? so, I've been to and from wollongong, which is where my big brother Nick goes to uni. I've pretty much fallen in love with the place, and am considering doing a sem exchange or maybe even a full year there. The people were so great, and it was pretty funny to see how many Canadians are abroad. And like tornado dave says, where one canadian is, more soon appear (it was unplanned, but where one canadian was a few others would just wonder in and before you knew it, there would be a whole little group of us). So, some background. Wollongong is ... read more

20/4/09 Well the day has come , up early to finish last minute cleaning, as real estate is coming at 9am to do an inspection. She arrived with a gift of goodies & wine (can’t wait for happy hour). All fine with house. We had to wait for container to be picked up so said goodbye to neighbours & our home of 10 years, was not sad as many good times were had there & after all home is where the heart is, not bricks & mortar. The van is our home for a while until we settle again. Container truck turned up at 10.45am & loaded it on (goodbye furniture) the neighbours will be glad to see the end of us, tore up a bit of grass. Then it was off to the bank for ... read more

I know it has been some time since my last entry but life has become rather static since school has begun and life so busy on occasion that is has been impossible to write my thoughts down for some time.I have just arrived back from my equivalent of reading week and have numerous stories and photos to share. I will even try to relate some of the exciting happenings since I last wrote in my blog. Since arriving here at Wollongong university (pronounced wool-ung-gong), I have been meeting heaps of people and having numerous wild adventures. My residence puts on a great deal of activities such as soccer, dances, formals and events such as secret admirer where we are randomly given a person to 'appreciate' for 2 weeks before revealing ourselves at a masquerade ball. I ... read more

What a few weeks , packing a house 4 bedroom, 35 sq house into a caravan is no easy feat, we have been busy packing, cleaning, scrubbing, chucking things out, garage sales, you name it we have done it, all in 5 weeks. We sold our house the first week it was on the market & have not stopped since. Then it was organising a container to put our furniture in & organising to store it. We found it cheaper to do this than store it in a storage facility, as we will be gone for more than 12 months & if you have a place to store it you can sell the container later. We then had to change addresses to a postal service & organise insurances etc, a lot of work but we think ... read more

I know that it has been a while since I updated this blog and for that I apologize. I have been having too much fun running around and starting up with uni. I also would like to apologize for my spelling mistakes and grammar from my last entry, I was very excited and wanted to convey my adventure to you all and in doing so I made several errors some of you were kind enough to point out. Since my last post I have done a whirlwind tour of Australia. We met up with some friends from Canada and travelled down the Great Ocean road just West of Melbourne on an adventure to see the landscape that so many tourists before us have been on. We went and saw the 12 Apocels (7 now because many ... read more

Wow, it has been so long since I have updated! I believe I left off with the Cricket… The day after the cricket, Caroline and I did a little tour of Sydney’s tourist sights. We went down to the Circular Quay and saw the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. We went into the Contemporary Art Gallery, which was really good! After that, we took a bus to Bondi beach and suntanned and swam. Just as we were going to get dinner at Bondi, this huge storm hit. Caroline and I quickly found a little restaurant and stayed there until the storm passed. The next day, Caroline and I took the train from the city centre to Robbie’s parent’s house. We went to a birthday BBQ and party for one of Robbie’s friends. After that we went ... read more
