We have about 10 days to chill before we head off to Queensland. Since we still have the car that we rented for parents' visit, we decided to drive down to Wollongong to have a look. Wollongong is the third largest city in New South Wales, about 1 hour South of Sydney. This place does not have any famous attractions. I guess the biggest landmark would be the Nan Tien Temple, formed by "Star cloud master", which is the largest temple in the Southern Hemisphere and the Jamberoo Action park, a park with water activities and park. However, we did not go to either. It was almost noon when we got there. As usual, we sat down at a little outdoor cafe and enjoyed our breakfast coffee before we started our tour. Coffee culture seems to ... read more

... read more

Kjempe koslige! Hello everyone! I apologize for the length between updates. I have been on the road and without much time to jump on the internet to keep you lovely people all updated on my adventures. I will not go into excessive detail as there is two weeks to catch up on and much to talk about so if you are truly interested there will be some magic and some adventures I can go into greater detail so we can actually have some exciting things to talk about whe we recount my adventures. Dave and I drove north to Cape Tribulation where it is the only place on the planet where reef actually touches Rainforest and it was an absolutely amazing day of about 30 degrees and water warm enough to jmp in, though you have to be ... read more

I've got the house to myself and here are some solo adventures I've been having ..... with myself. Yes most people know that I come from a very spoilt culinary er... situation but that doesn't mean I rough it when I'm left to my own devices. Yes I've had the odd pizza or two, but I do work a rather full full time job. Pacific oysters have been my little treat of late and I buy half a dozen and slip them down as I cook. Oysters are not just an amazing flavour of the sea but a kind of experience. Because it's just lil' ol' me I spare no expense and splurge on the biggest freshest most glisteningly fat oysters I can find. I've posted these to show that some times beautiful meals are created ... read more

Hey all, sorry about the gaps from posts. I've been pretty busy, and no where near computers with internet. which is pretty much becoming my lifes story. I ended up going back to queenstown, getting a haircut, and getting some other errands done. I left from the Dunedin the next day, which is the most Scottish city in all NZ, if anyone was wondering. Because i was on a timeline (for the first time in my trip, i had somewhere to be) i could only stay one night there. I ended up doing the 'Elm Wildlife Tour' where we got to go see Albatross (we got to see breeding pairs, as they only come to shore to nest; the little chicks were white and fluffy, as well as being fairly heavy for their size), as well ... read more
