We got our start at 10 today, and it was already 84°. We crossed the Utah border at 10:15 am. We didn’t cross the Idaho border until 1:15 am. We saw lots of pretty views and very diverse landscapes during our drive. We had lunch at Panquitch, a quaint little town that was hosting a Quilt Walk, (we didn’t participate). We stopped to apply sunscreen in Salina, Utah. Driving with the windows down, we got very interesting sunburns on our legs, Kathryn’s right and Beth’s left. Note for later, when we head south, we must switch sides. Beth took over the night driving, as some of you know Kathryn has trouble seeing at night.
