Hello from sunny (and hot) Florida! :-) I didn't have a chance to write the other day due to a big work load so I have lots to catch up on. This is the first time April and I have been to Florida and NOT gone to "at least" Universal Studios and Islands Of Adventure. It's not that we didn't want to, it's that there were SO many other things to see and do. We have been to Florida many, many times and have gone on just about every ride at every theme park. Our plan this time was to try new things and fit in the theme parks if we could. Hello all! I have a lot to write about since I didn't get a chance to enter a journal in for yesterday. We left off with the saga of stained sock puppet and trash talking terry and their "adult content" happenings. The two of them had quite the hangover yesterday so they didn't come with April and I to lunch at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville or to the show to see House Of Wax in CityWalk. April and I took the Royal Pacific Resort's free boat shuttle to CityWalk. I sat there thinking.....THIS IS THE LIFE! I don't feel too guilty enjoying these luxuries as April and I are both self professed workaholics. Good Morning! It is 7:35am.....April and I are getting ready to visit several of Florida's "natural" attractions: Silver Springs Park, Blue Springs State Park, and Spook Hill (a place where your car travels uphill without it turned on or your foot on the gas or steering wheel -- people have been trying to figure out how this works for years and hey, its free....lol). We wanted to do something "different" today -- something we have never done, so it should be fun! Yesterday was a relatively quiet day. We had a lot of work to do, so we ended up not leaving our hotel room until close to 1pm. We went to Orlando's Festival Bay Shopping/Entertainment Complex. Good morning from sunny Florida!! Yaay! I am SO happy to be here right now. Where is here? Orlando, FL baby! We are staying at The Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando until tomorrow (May 8 -- Happy Birth Mom and Happy Mother's Day) and then checking into Universal Orlando's Royal Pacific Resort until May 14! :) After a looooooooooooong drive from North Carolina to Orlando we were VERY excited to check into the luxurious, yet WAY relaxed, Portofino. Just driving down Universal Blvd still gives me butterflies! The whole area is just so massive and beautiful and most importantly -- FUN!
