Well it's the last day at Portofino Bay Hotel and I will really miss the peace and quiet of this picturesque hotel and surrounds, on the other hand I can't help but be a little excited about going to Animal Kingdom Lodge at Walt Disney World. We are all up early to get to Islands of Adenture so I can photograph the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Its a quick choccie croissant and coffee at Sals then onto the boat transport to get in before the general public. LC has to quickly dart back to the room and misses the boat, but that's okay he will catch up soon enough. Mrs and Jnr head into the park, through Suessland and into Harry Potter. So we decide to do those last things that we have missed during the week. Photograph Seaworld. We catch a taxi back to Seaworld first thing and go see the Dolphin show. It was good, although shows always seem to be better when you can actually watch them without having to photograph them. From there we headed for a walk around the park and took in the sights of the Penguins and the Arctic. Thought it might be cool to have lunch next to a huge underwater Aquarium but after we saw the Aquarium from the other side, decided we didn't need to pay the additional price just to eat shark and watch shark! Let's see if we can finish off Islands of Adventure Park. It's a late start for us, having had a very full day in the sun yesterday. Downstairs to the boat ramp and off to Unviersal. DAMNIT forgot the entry tickets so we caught the boat back again to pick them up. Finally armed with what we needed we arrive at Islands of Adventure park. WOW this is what they mean by a busy park day. There are bodies everywhere. Universal Park has a 2 day rock festival on this weekend, that would explain the tweenagers everywhere. Apparently socials groups save all year so they can attend this particular weekend! Okay, Harry Potter's done and we have seriously overshopped over the last 1.5 weeks! It's time to see if we can buy some more bags to get all this stuff to at least the next hotel (if not all the way home!). Internet based searches really are a boon in today's day and age. Lookup Eagle Creek luggage and find where our nearest reseller is. GREAT Millenia Mall Bag and Baggage Co sells it. Shopping hours 10am - 9pm most day of the week and midday to 9pm Sunday's. Pick up the phone and see what they have in stock. Yep, they've got Extra Large Cargo Duffels just for us. Now how do we get there? Taxi sounds good. It's off to Universal Studios Park today before the crowds hit. Firstly, yes Mrs Chicken is taking lots of photos as you can see from her previous blog entries :-) The three little chickens get up (not so early) have coffee and chocolate croissantes from Sal's Cafe and catch the boat shuttle service, which is located directly outside our accomodations, to Universals Citywalk (Universals version of Downtown Disney). I must admit that Mr Chicken (Moi) was very disappointed with Citywalk as it is mainly full of bars and nightclubs and to tell you the truth just doesn't really cut the mustard unless you are the clubbing bar hopping type (Oh which I have not been since marrying Mrs Chicken HONESTLY MRS CHICKEN!! hehehehe).
