Brandon promptly picked us up just prior to our planned 8 AM departure to LAX. He cheerfully greeted us and asked my mother to be his Valentine. He was surprisingly cheerful for someone who had just gotten off work from his bartending gig four hours earlier. His SUV easily accommodated our luggage and three cruisers. His phone guided his route to the airport. He noted that he’d never been there; in fact, he’d never been out of California (unless you count Las Vegas). The journey was quick and uneventful, or seemed that way with the non-stop banter that kept us thoroughly engaged. Miami - The name says a lot about awesome beaches, but Miami has a lot more to that. I hope I can add a lot from my exploration about Miami. So I just cannot forget this trip to Miami because it was my 1st Solo trip ever. It was just a random plan of visiting Miami as a solo traveler. So, I booked my flight and a hostel (I always wanted to stay at a hostel). I landed in Miami around midnight and took a cab to the hostel. Eind april en begin mei was zowel een enorm drukke en chaotische periode als de gelukkigste paar weken van heel mijn tijd als student in Miami. Mijn ouders en stiefouders kwamen naar Miami om het filmfestival bij te wonen en mij te zien afstuderen. Het was geweldig dat ze voor een laatste keer mij kwamen bezoeken en ik was supergelukkig dat ze er waren voor deze belangrijke dagen in mijn leven. Ze ontmoetten ook Psolomon (hoewel ze natuurlijk al met hem geskyped hadden) en dat verliep allemaal heel soepel. Tijdens die laatste week moest ik studeren voor een test, waarvoor ik 85 % moest halen - anders kon ik niet afstuderen (even later kreeg ik te horen dat ik 100 % had dus ik had me helemaal geen zorgen moeten maken).
