Same as usual today, had breakfast, packed the van and once again we left the campsite before the other trek group. Another long drive but we didn’t care because today we were going to Miami. Miami was a stop that wasn’t actually on our itinerary but we all wanted to go there so badly Jon changed it so we went. We stopped at a beach nearby Miami to have lunch at this small open air bar next to the beach. It was very hot so beer was very necessary. We had a small lunch at this strange café, bar place which was very average then a few of us quickly went down to check out the beach. It was beautiful, a fantastic beach and we weren’t even in Miami yet. As we left we paid the ... read more

Saweedaka my friends! Greetings from Bangkok! We arrived this morning. But lets back track to a couple days back...Siem Reap. This was our 2nd city in Cambodia. We fell in love! Everything about Siem Reap was amazing...the people are the nicest most sweetest most noble & humble in the WORLD! The city is 100x better than the capital Phnom Penh...as Ana puts it: "We were in Iraq!". Our tour guide, Ing, was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable & very sweet. The first day we went to the floating villages. We went on a boat ride down a river. This is one of the poorest areas in S.R. They are on the river (dont ask me which one, its pointless for me to even guess). They live on houseboats & use the river for EVERYTHING!...Bathing, drinking, peeing & pooping. ... read more

So we got to Asia on Sat morning! You do the math! It wasnt as horrible as I wouldve thought. Singapore airlines is really nice. Hi Y'all, Here we are sitting and waiting for 5 hours for an overnight flight to La Paz, Bolivia. We slept about 3 hours last night so we are all a bit shattered. We are having the best time here in the States. We love San Francisco. We spent 3 full days exploring the city and its sights. We also had a day tour to Muir Woods (an hour north of SF) which has the giant Sequioa trees. They are the biggest trees in the world and are amazing to walk amongst these giants. We also went to Sausilito, a small touristy village on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge. We also sailed past Alcatraz which was rough and windy but great fun and great views of the city and bridge. We hired a ... read more

It would appear that we hit Florida in time for monsoon season. All the way to Miami we ran into heavy downpours off and on. It would rain for 20 minutes and we'd have to slow down to around 30 mph, then it would stop and everyone would speed up again. The temperature inside the bus when we closed the widows for the rain stiffling and the constant;open the windows, close the windows, was getting on everyones nerves. the bus was leaking from everywhere from the heavy rain and was getting everything inside wet as well. The humidity and heat inside the bus resembles that of a jungle and the smell is starting to resemble that of a locker room less the soap and shampoo. In Miami we played at an English style club in Little ... read more
